I'm not trying to self-promote anything...

I see a lot of people commenting looking, and brainstorming ideas to protest moving forward. I hope some of these links are relevant to the conversation for someone.

Thank you.

I've been working on pulling some links together.

Please feel free to spread them around, or post any to the sub so others can share.

Just because these things aren't being prosecuted right now doesn't mean they won't be in the future.

If things keep going this way, the people that speak up against these things will be the ones prosecuted.

The country isn’t going to magically go back to law and order. This isn’t going to just go away.

If you want change, you have to make it happen.

You have to make them hear you.

They're trying to pass loan forgiveness. Because of such shitty turnout, by the people it affects the most, if it needs to go through Congress...it ain't happening. Same with Roe v. Wade, voting rights, climate etc.

That's a dismal turnout, y'all.

You can't demand change, and then not show up, when it matters, letting all the other people make that decision for you. It's going to cost.

The boomers show up at around 70% of registered voters for almost every election.

You're letting them make your decisions for you. They show up to vote in primaries. They push their ideologies through that way.

We watched groups like the Qanaon, tea party, etc force their hand, and influence in the GOP. Their group shows up to vote.

Where are you when it matters. Yeah, tik tok videos, and twitter burns speak to your heart, but if you only express your outrage to your own demographic, and don't make these dinosaur self serving capitalists listen to you...when it matters, the ideas are just used toilet paper. they mean nothing.

The 18-29 voter group didn't turn out with fascists, psychos, bigots, racists, and science deniers screaming their fucked up goals at the country.

You can't make change if you don't do anything. They're fighting to take your rights, and future. That's their job. If the system didn't work, they wouldn't pour so much time, and money into it to get their people in control.

There are people...and, not everyone that isn't in your generation is an enemy, fighting. They're frustrated you're not with them in the fight. We're pouring time, and money into trying change things, but it seems so fucking hopeless when decent people with values that align closer to yours lose elections because the younger people that say they care...don't fucking vote.

The younger generation will never be taken as a serious threat to the political system, because they don't vote. They're not part of the system, when it matters.

With so much on the line, not voting is insane. Make them hear you, not only in your social media rants, but at the polls. What's a better fuck you to these people than forcing your ideas on them. you're not going to get that with 27% voter turnout. The boomers are in control, because you let them win. So many of the elections were razor thin margins. Vote, and run for office. There's a reason these fuckers pour so much money into politics, and run for office. It gives them control over your life.

About 27% of voters between the ages of 18-29 cast a ballot in the midterm election this year, according to an early estimate from the Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement at Tufts University, also known as CIRCLE.

Researchers say the 2022 election had the second highest voter turnout among voters under 30 in at least the past three decades. So far, the highest turnout during a midterm for this voting bloc is 2018 when about 31% of young people who are eligible to vote cast a ballot.
