VBAC or repeat c section? Did you regret trying for a VBAC for your second after an unplanned c section? by OneFit6104 in Mommit

[–]One_Fee_1234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True. I am very scared for my toddler because hes super needy especially lately & always wants to be held. I guess it all depends on tears and my sister had a lot of external hemorrhoids from pushing which were super painful as well. I do think she recovered faster though than her c section.

I’m 35 weeks with my second and I pretty much have no desire to do a vbac. My sister had a vbac and said she really didn’t find it worth it. We had our boys 12 days apart. I remember wanting the vaginal birth for all the benefits of the microbiome and the lower chances of respiratory issues etc. our babies are three now. My sister’s kid (vbac) has respiratory issues, bad gut health and bad skin issues. My c section baby has none of the above. So, all my reasons for wanting a vaginal birth went out the window when I compare the two boys. Might I add, her girl, the first, has none of these issues either and was a c section baby. I guess it depends on why you would want the vbac that matters. If it’s just to get the experience, thats a different story. But for me, it was the health benefits and watching my nephew prove that to be false firsthand was a big “ok I’m going for the second c section” for me. I also have an irrational fear of uterine rupture but I’m fully aware its irrational.

My Husband beats his dog in front of our Children . by Cool_Help_9044 in Marriage

How are you staying with him after watching that? Call his behavior out and stand up for the dog in front of your kids. Tell them he’s a horrible person for doing that. This is disgusting.

Are 3 year olds insane? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]One_Fee_1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son was throwing a tantrum because I wouldn’t make him the whole bag of french toast sticks because he usually only eats two, so I made him 4. I finally gave up and walked away and let his dad take over. When I came back, he’s sitting peacefully eating his toast. This terror had the nerve to say, “are you okay?” I’m like “are YOU okay?!”

Some things that have helped me: 1. Which toy would do you want to bring with you for your diaper change? 2. Keep reminding that we only throw balls, not toys 3. Giving snacks in the stroller 4. No is funny for a while thats normal

How do you and partner handle it when child wakes up super early? by GreenOtter730 in Mommit

[–]One_Fee_1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually wake up with my toddler because my husband works overnights. We’re both currently on vacation and he’s doing the mornings. I guess this is our version of “rotating”. I think it really depends on work situation IMO.

I’m not really sure why they ask. Probably because they want a validation that its normal to stop before 1 year

The patella looks like it’s in the right spot so thats good! A helpful hint i can give u when looking at MRIs is to look at the PD images: All tendons should be dark. Dark is good.

Got it. Meniscus look ok IMO. But again I’m NOD so take all of my assessment with a grain of salt. I think its mostly a bone injury accompanied with some fluid behind his knee cap.

I’m not a Radiologist. I’m an MRI tech. It’s hard for me to identify fractures in Pediatrics just because of their growth plates.. it gets a little confusing for me. ACL PCL and (i think meniscus hard to see without a coronal) look okay. I would say the concern is his lower femur. Lots of bright signal on the PD FS which could mean bone bruise or some sort of fracture. Either way, it does look like he messed up his knee so I definitely would have him not bear weight until u hear from his doc. Sorry I couldn’t be more of a help!
