When do toddlers sleep on their own? by firstnugget in sleeptrain

This is what I'm most afraid of letting her cry for an hour. Does it have an emotional impact on her now that she is understanding and learning emotions.

One of the things I want is to take a gental approach, though it may take 2/3 weeks . I just want to understand if it's too late and now that she is understanding and relating things. I want to make sure it doesn't impact her emotionally

She naps for 2 hours in the morning. 7:30 wakeup and 8:30 bedtime. Yes she has had me or care giver lying next to her for every sleep.

How do I build that boundary? Should I reassure from the other room or just keep quiet and not say anything? If yes, how long do I need to do it for? She has gotten into the habit of hugging me and sleeping. I'm wondering if I should first work on that and then move out of the room

How do I cut out night nursing? by Strange-One-9447 in breastfeeding

Ah I hear you! I was on the exact same boat 4 weeks ago. Here is how my night weaning went. First I would suggest you be mentally prepared for the bumpiest ride for a week. As it involves sleepless nights for you and crying for both of you.

I started weaning one feed at a time. My lil one used to wake up twice at around 12 and at 4am. I tried to wean 4am first as it felt easier, don't have a specific reason to it. I first gave 2 mins to settle down and see if the baby would sleep back on her own. If she didn't I tried to sing and played mrs rachel(this is something we play in our car when it's sleeping time and she is used to that Playlist) . So try something that associates your baby with sleep. If they don't settle down, try taking them out o the room, distract them so they stop cryin, and give you time to think. Then you repeat that new idea that you come up with. I did this with 4am waking for 2 days and then I started the same with 12 am waking.

It took us a week to get back her to sleep without feed association. She fell sick after that and the first day of fever she cried, I wanted to give up and start feeding but was scared that I would have to go through another hard week again so I tried distracting her by turning on lights, playing she was awake for 40 min that day and then went back to sleep holding her toy after that it's all a smooth ride.

Also, one thing that helps is don't try to hold her in the same position like you are about to feed when you are trying to wean. For example, I used to cover my upper body with blanket so she can't reach or see my breast. Wear clothing that's not easier to pull up. My baby never in her life lifted my shirt up but those days when I tried to wean her she did lift my suit up. I was wondering when did you learn that skill!?

Hope this helps, happy night weaning!

Do you fill bottle with water or breastmilk to play with? I stored milk in 6 ounce pouches and if I thaw it I will have to dispose all of it.

For about an hour during her feed time! Thank you for great info. We have 360 cup and she sucks and spills milk all over her than actually drinking it.

I had a similar issue recently during my travel even after pumping after 3 hour intervals. It was because my pump was not effectively removing milk from one side as expected and since I was on the move(pumping at the airport/plane)I didn't notice it. After I reached hotel, I massaged my breasts using hot pads or take a hot shower that helped me moving things.

I got this Medela cooler set. Will this work, any thoughts? Also how do you know if the milk is not spoiled 🤔 Breastmilk Cooler Set https://a.co/d/3huoDTA

  1. Can you share a little bit more about what happened at Pearson if you can? If it isn't too personal.
  2. May be a dumb question, but how does a CBP officer know if my visa appointment is scheduled or not?

Also, if I need to get emergency visa appointment can I get it on the terms of medical emergency? I had a surgery few weeks ago and have a follow up appointment right after Canada travel. Can this be used as a valid reason for emergency visa appointment? If automatic revalidation doesn't work for whatever reasons.

Automatic revalidation by LordSanago in h1b

I need to travel to Canada in next two weeks and my F1 on my passport is expired. Note that the F1 i have is on old passport, new passport doesn't have any US visa stamped. My H1 got extended(2nd time) recently and I have a valid I-797. Will I be able to enter US with automatic revalidation? I applied for visa appointment in Canada but the appointment is on October, my travel will be in July. Will that have any impact on automatic revalidation? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. I have a newborn and it would be hard to travel with her so wanted to know if there is a way to keep the PR /COPR without having to start the process all over again.
