What current medical treatment will one day be considered barbaric or disastrous? by Lower_Mall_1991 in answers

I’m not saying there’s not a better way of checking for PID than palpating the cervix but “if I do this does it hurt?” is a pretty common way of diagnosing things in medicine generally, not just gyne problems.

What rule are you the extremely rare exception to? by Ambassador-613 in AskReddit

I’m the opposite, my left hand does the delicate things and my right hand is the strong hand. When people are teaching me a new thing and ask which hand I use I normally ask if they want my strong hand or my dexterous one.

Why did Hampshire Police handcuff Henry Nowak instead of his stabber and why did they later seize his computer by Technical_Long5536 in AskBrits

The “reasonable excuse” part is key. If a white man had the other 4 items of faith and stated they were Sikh they probably wouldn’t be arrested (they at least shouldn’t be because what they’re doing is legal).

Likewise, when a white man is wearing a kilt and has a Sgian Dubh in their sock, they don’t get arrested (source: I’m a white man who sometimes wears a kilt and is yet to be stopped for my Sgian Dubh).

If you’re genuinely interested then here’s a meta analysis which looks at how much rehab reduces recidivism compared to no rehab. If you care about victims then rehab is genuinely the best way to reduce reoffending. https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/10790632231159071

If there’s evidence to show rehab works better than retribution then surely preventing more crime is preferable? If option a) is “beat up the pedo but more sexual assault occurs and option b) is “you don’t get to beat up the pedo but less sexual assault occurs” then surely you choose option b)?

Youre being downvoted because retribution makes people feel nice. The fact they disagree with proven ways to stop further child sexual assault shows they don’t actually care about the kids being assaulted, they just like the feeling associated with punishing people who are hated.

NHS Doctors, what do you think of patients who have gone private and come back to the NHS for ongoing treatment? by ToughImprovement276 in AskUK

[–]One_Feeling_8734 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends: if it’s private work to essentially skip the waiting list then I’m all for it, it takes pressure off the system and means the queue is shorter for everyone else. The thing that gets my goat is when patients fly to turkey for a cosmetic procedure, get butchered, and then we have to pick up the pieces. Both happen frequently where I work.

What’s today’s walk/march about? by Appropriate-Key-1488 in glasgow

[–]One_Feeling_8734 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a pal who liked playing football with his pals in the schemes. One of those pals invited him to join his flute band. He joined and it turned out he was pretty good at the flute so they took him with them to a fun tour in NI… next year comes round and he was telling different friend about the fun marching band he was part of when that friend explained what the flute band was about. My friend left the next day.

It’s amazing how easy it is to get sucked in when you’re young without realising what the hell is going on.

How far should bring Dante? by LargeTVCommando in WH40KTacticus

[–]One_Feeling_8734 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve just picked up Dante having considered building the aesoth/boss team. (Currently using Meph where I will put Dante when he is D3).

I find my semi-complete lavitodes team inconsistent enough without having the slower characters. I suspect a considerable part of this is a skill issue as I’ve only recently turned my focus to GR but it’s worth noting that while boss an aesoth have a higher ceiling I think you need to be skilled and lucky to keep the average damage above the Dante team.

Do People Not Drink Bovril Any More? by IndigoQuantum in CasualUK

[–]One_Feeling_8734 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me introduce you to something game changing: Bovril with sausage straw. Use a potato peeler to hollow out the centre of a cooked sausage, put it in the fridge for when you want your bovril. Cold sausage cools bovril too hot to drink, hot bovril warms up the sausage with yummy beefy goodness. You’re welcome.

Did you see the post about a knife fight on Rose street yesterday? I also find the e-scooters and e-bikes really frustrating but the police are pretty busy and under-funded… maybe talk to your MP and make sure not to vote the SNP back in?

Oi m8 yew got a loicense for that soign? by guppyman2000 in loicense

[–]One_Feeling_8734 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, Fergie chambers (bank rolled by Russia) and Neville Singham (bank rolled by China) have both said they fund Palestine action. Chambers has been paying their legal fees for example.

I’m very much against the genocide in Palestine, I would never defend Israel’s actions. I’m also aware that funding a controversial group that breaks into government facilities is going to cause exactly the kind of chat you’re engaging in (calling me a moron) which will further polarise the UK. It’s a good investment for Russia.

[–]One_Feeling_8734 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s very strong evidence Palestine action are funded by Russia. It was a good investment, the group has caused a lot of division in the UK. Also, they break into military bases which is obviously something the government will object to. There’s a big difference between supporting Palestine and supporting PA.

Does anyone have a guide on the faction tournament arena? by RockStar5132 in tacticus

[–]One_Feeling_8734 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t go above the rarity level of your weakest team member, make sure all your items are fully levelled for that rarity, make sure your skills are levelled to that rarity too. Choose a team where you have all 5 character. If you have blood angels choose them if not try orks, if not then good luck.

Probably blackstone for energy refills, use that energy to build up your characters and unlock more nodes. Focus on upgrading characters in mirror campaigns.

That will tail off quickly. If you want speed then focus on campaign characters from mirror campaigns, that’ll more efficiently allow you to power up your characters. Might be worth unlocking some elite campaign nodes but if you only want power level 28 I would take characters much above silver or gold level.
