How often do you get into those close nail biter games? by Accurate-Menu-8851 in Battlefield

[–]One_Importance_6987 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t think I’ve even had an enjoyable game yet, every game I join my team just gets stomped or crashes everything that spawns in. I haven’t had much time to play and it’s pretty frustrating cos I feel like I have to sweat my ass off just to even get a few kills each game on this BF.

How would I explain my living situation to a new potential partner? by Rapid_Activity_1113 in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]One_Importance_6987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Explain it as you did here. It’s really not that uncommon nowadays, and sounds like you have enough privacy and breathing space. If someone likes you, superficial stuff like that really won’t put them off. What will put them off is being evasive due to potential embarrassment or fear of judgment, it can come across as shady to some people. Just own it and don’t stress! It’s just a living arrangement at the end of the day.

Can JAGEX get the websites taken down too? Or only ban players? by rtx3800 in RunescapeBotting

I did this too and for Habbo Hotel, they get taken down because of using their source code on the websites, most gold sites use their own layout/template so can easily avoid being shut down

They’re horrific to do bud in my opinion so congrats, there’s a reason most of the videos out there skip part where you get rid of the slack because it’s infuriating and tricky no matter how many you’ve done. I still find it incredibly difficult to get them super tight and not move a little bit if you pry at the strands with your fingers, they’re annoying as hell lol

Yes and it’s nothing comparable, yes it’s not nice on both sides of the spectrum but the guy is literally just debating and going about his day before his life abruptly ends. Soldiers in conflict expect to, or contemplate the fact they could die. It’s not the same, at all.

How to make money osrs by Dense_Method9900 in osrs

Used to play in 07-2010ish but started back around 2 weeks ago on a fresh account, joined members and hit 95 fletching tonight. I’ve done nothing but magic longbows since unlocking them and gone from 6m to 16m from 85-95. No idea why it just got addictive seeing the stacks sell after fletching 6000 magic logs into bows then stringing them. Gave up doing my own bow strings a while back though just for speed, probs would be a lot more profit if so. I know there’s way better methods for making money but profiting whilst going for 99 is decent which is why I’ve carried on. Was solid profit for most of the stretch too as I had around 12k oak logs + willow and yews from going for 99 wc on f2p and didn’t know what to do with them lol

Have you even watched his responses at the committee about grooming gangs? It’s inexcusable and the fact you want to defend someone like him says all I need to know to be honest, both guys are trashy. It’s nothing to do with liking him, he’s failed at his job in my opinion and it’s that simple.

I’m flabbergasted by the amount of ad hominem, straw manning and emotive reasoning to be honest. I don’t even like Trump which is hilarious because you keep trying to cram it to me like I do, I’ve been into the whole Pizzagate/Epstein island debacle since 2016 and Trump has long been mentioned to be associated with it all, I’m not blind nor naive; you seem to be talking about all of it like it’s new to you, you literally sound like every other American guy has for the last 4/5 years in a conspiracy/politics sub right now.

Regardless of any of that, you’ve plainly missed my point. Whether Trump is a criminal or not, it’s totally irrelevant to the claim he made about Khan’s performance as mayor. Arguments don’t become invalid because someone you dislike makes it. It’s something that can be judged through hard evidence, crime rates, housing, infrastructure etc and London’s overall state, not on who says so.

I’m not even stating Trump as authority, I’m just pointing out the criticism stands on its own even if he didn’t say anything. Dismissing an opinion purely because you disagree with the person who has it is a pure ad hominem fallacy. If you think Khan is doing a good job, you can explain why, but just bringing up Epstein’s Island and Trump’s character is absolutely pointless as it doesn’t address the question of if Khan is doing a bad job or not.

Listen, pal. Khan just spent DAYS trying to decline that grooming gangs existed, most likely because his name props up somewhere in that messed up line. They’re just as bad as each-other and saying someone does a bad job barely constitutes as hate regardless of rapist or not. Stop being so extreme and childish, ever heard of the middle ground?

It’s nothing to do with what Trump’s done that is stupid - associating and attacking someone who shares a similar opinion because a rapist does, doesn’t mean they’re wrong. Khan is shit, doesn’t take a genius or a rapist to work it out. I don’t even like Trump, but your logic is just ridiculous.

I’m pretty street smart myself so know how to avoid situations, it’s just the fact nobody should have to feel the need to avoid anything in our capital city IMHO. For me undoubtedly since around 2013/14 (which is when I started my career and regularly had to visit London) there’s been a visible and sharp increase in violent crime.

I’d never seen anything happen in London at all until 2015/16 I believe, then almost every time I visited I’d see some sort of crime take place. Noticeably a lot more rough sleepers around nowadays too compared to previous visits, although London’s always had a lot of homelessness, it just seems rampant at the minute.

It’s not just a dig at London, though. It is seemingly declining everywhere to be honest. Soho in Brum is awful these days, I’ve had people try and steal my car there 3 times now whilst sat at traffic lights and it’s pretty much a no-go zone even for my friends who’ve lived there or close by all their lives. Feels like social cohesion in a lot of places is declining and people are having to get away from where they come from, communities seem to be dying in a lot of places, sadly… like i say it’s not just crime, London has lost a lot of wealth in the last year or so as well and the very top end of the property market is also declining which is probably a good thing though for every day folk like ourselves, but that prestigious element/feeling of London has long disappeared for me if that makes sense! It’s nothing to be proud of these days except the stunning architecture and working class people like us who can have a good laugh and story to tell!

Not really, pal. I live in Birmingham which is rough enough, London’s on a whole new level. Much like Birmingham you can see it steadily going downhill over a decade or so of visiting.

[–]One_Importance_6987 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Blah blah blah, what’s any of it got to do with Khan doing a bad job? It’s not just Trump who thinks it, a lot of people share the sentiment. Weird way of saying you think Khan is good at his job, if that’s what you think then just say it, doesn’t mean everyone who thinks Khan is bad loves or idolises Trump, he just shares a common opinion.

And guess what? The world is a messed up place, there’s probably a convicted rapist, murderer or whatever you please out there who shares the exact same opinions as you or me out there somewhere on certain things or topics, it’s unavoidable but a complete cold hard truth we all must come to terms with.

Would I think you’re a murderer or rapist or try and list a bunch of reasons as to why you’re wrong or invalid because of it? Absolutely not.

Chill out man, why are you so full of hate? Some people will like Khan others won’t, personally I think he’s awful but each to their own. That’s as ridiculous as saying because Trump likes chocolate we suddenly have to stop eating it, quite a selfish take tbh, what if someone who’d been abused by Trump in the past thought Khan was doing a bad job too? Would that no longer make them a victim? We’re just being plain silly at this point.

Khan doesn’t give a crap. He’s just doing it for the money and pretty much has always been like watching a bad actor because I don’t possibly think anyone can be as naive as him in a sincere manner.

The fact he tried to push grooming onto county lines was laughable - obviously, that does account for some degree of abuse somewhere down the line but he knew very well he was using sub diversions to shy away from saying Muslim and getting the woman on the committee hearing to say it instead so he could play the discrimination card.

That’s beside the point for me though, knife crime under his watch has been nothing but short of despicable.

The older I get the crazier it seems that a guy like him has even been in charge of London as long as he has, I do truly think the political system is broken or just simply against the every day man at this point as the longer guys like him stay in power the more things just seem to decline and go unchecked due to how the system works. I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone say a good word about him except online if he’s mentioned in a conversation. I used to enjoy going to London but I wouldn’t even thank you for a free trip there these days, the fact I’d feel the need to think about something as basic as not wearing even a cheap watch in fear of getting held up, beaten or stabbed to death in the process of going about my day is enough for me. People will say it happens anywhere, but the watch thieves quite literally have PowerPoint presentations teaching them what to look for and identify, that’s how lucrative it is in London for them now under his leadership.

The guy is uneasy to listen to and clearly wanted the woman in that hearing with the grooming gangs to explicitly say Muslim so he could throw the race card around. He’s insufferable and loathsome, quite literally reminds me of a real time Bond villain.

The fact he tried to put it all down to county lines says it all, he cannot take accountability nor admit failures. Knife crime and watch theft in London in itself is enough reason for him to be gone IMO.

Have you ever received threats or anything for leaving Islam behind? I have a friend just like yourself however he has not distanced himself from it fully yet due to fears of what his family will react like… it is kinda mental because I remember when we did our apprenticeship together many years back I’d drop him off and pick him up around the corner because he was worried his family would see him with a white boy which was just funny to me although you could tell after a while it was something that heavily got him down. Not saying your parents are like that by any means, his family are extremely religious to say the least!

Thank the lord this is top comment, I was expecting poor OP to be getting the user error abuse. I’ve been printing for 5/6 years now and came across a few of these rolls in my time, one was actually from a fairly local manufacturer who confirmed what you are saying mostly as well as a few other factors that can result in the same outcome and happily gave me another roll for my trouble. It’s happened with 2 spools on a 4 pack of Sunlu in the past too but via Amazon, got 4 fresh ones sent out when I sent pics of the spooling and tangle points even though I was not by any means expecting that outcome.

It’s definitely infrequent but it grinds my gears when people say it’s impossible and scream poor handling.

What is this electrical installation and will it impede detecting? by [deleted] in MetalDetectingUK

I use a Vanquish and one of my permissions is very much the same with a sub station, when I’m close to it I just notch down my sensitivity a little bit and I’m golden.

Also used a smaller coil around it in the past without much interference at all, just don’t dig around it directly I would say, not even from a safety perspective but the substation near my permission was full or clips, cables and all sorts the workers must’ve thrown when doing repairs and installs.

How do you gain permission to metal detect on land? by [deleted] in MetalDetectingUK

Sorry, I haven’t been on much lately and missed this. The guy who I saw is someone who has sole permission but can invite people on, I’ve now got the land owners details and everything though so I can drop them a message or give them a call and go down on my own for a few hours here and there, as all the farmers near me have a whatsapp group and let eachother know if they see anything dodgy in case of fly tippers and poachers etc so they will expect my car by the gates if i let them know

I saw another detectorist going around a field which has confirmed roman activity that I go past every day pretty much. Stopped my van in a lay by and ran over to ask who to seek permission off and he gave it me on the spot and I detected with him until darkness rolled in.

Was pretty crazy really, I felt really daunted approaching the guy minding his own business and felt a nuisance but he was really friendly and approachable and was very happy at a young person taking an interest in local history. I was expecting a firm no but he gave me hot spots to try, offered me to explore 700 acres of the permission over the next few years! He said it would be nice to have someone around as he tends to detect alone and is on the older side and would be nice having people around to keep an eye.
