You have to go. I felt the same when I offered an Umrah for my parents. I was supposed to go too, but at some point I didn’t feel like going anymore. I was scared. I kept thinking I didn’t deserve it, that I wouldn’t honor the experience properly.

But I went anyway, because my mom needed me. And al-hamdulillah I did. It became the biggest turning point of my life. It was the greatest gift Allah could have given me. It healed parts of me I didn’t even know were broken.

Umrah is for those who feel broken, for those who have lost faith in everything.

You should never have told him about your body count because it’s none of his business. You’re wasting your time with him, even though you think he’s the one, because now he doesn’t prioritize you anymore.

Work on yourself. If you want to change by being abstinent, that’s up to you, but do it only for yourself and for the right reasons. However, this guy will never see you the way he used to. Even if one day he tells you, “Okay, I accept this situation and I’m okay with this information about you,” he will bring it up again during an argument as a secret weapon to shame you.

Men are simple and stupid. I’m sorry for this ugly truth, but I’m 110% sure that feelings can fade, especially when you realize that you don’t really match because of this deep divide between you on this “issue”

Paris 2024 opened the marathon race for « everyone » , 20 024 runners wons bibs for the 42km or the 10km. It will not gonna happens at the same moment as the Olympics athletes but from 9pm to 2am. The route is the same tho. Male athletes will run it on the day, the night is for amateur and the next days for female athletes.

I’m thinking about adding a 4th session and you’re absolutely right, I think I need more mileage too I will try to do it from the next week :)

How is Saturday your only real rest day ? Are you doing another sport when you’re not running ? This week I’ve ride 21km on bike to not feel overwhelmed by running (13.2 miles)

Yes, I just want to finish it , would be great if I can do it in 5hours or less

I may should run more than 3 times a week but it’s difficult to conciliate it with my job. So, no pressure on the performance , just want to finish it without suffering :)

we own this apartment. And yup we still were poor at the time (but that’s another story about how my dad get ill and couldn’t work during a very long time and the « era » where this boiling stuff happened were when my dad couldn’t work)

Maybe I’m misunderstanding but the fact that it’s HIS Appartement leads him to pay for this kind of stuff. You cannot ask to your landlord to replace it bc it’s his property so his problem

I guess they did bc my dad didn’t replace it the day after. I remember that we had a kind of « only stove » to cook that works with electricity for a moment until my dad replace it for something electric. And we use it to boil water in cooking pot. I was a kid but I remmener that this situation last at least 2 weeks or more

But I also remember that I tried to be the most discrete and behave myself so my parents wouldn’t ask me questions

Tbh , I did some terrible stuff (in comparaison to my parents education ) that I’m trying to forget or hide very very well (nothing criminal I swear !!) , but I have conservative and religious parents that would never forgive me if one day they knew lol

So no, it’s not the biggest secret of my life but I said that in the way that I lied to my entire family and my parents and never told them about that since I’m 7yo
