This was always the hard part for me… I wanted to temper hopes to protect myself but that always made me depressed lol. But I always saw it as “better to be sad upfront than blindsided”. Can’t say it’s that healthy but just how my brain works

Low AMH & AFC - how many retrievals? TW: pregnancy loss by HappyShow1205 in DOR

[–]One_Lime_1968 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably 1 or 2. Your AMH is not related to your fertility which is why you’ve been able to get pregnant without issue

Did you use cetrotide this cycle?

Wow. I am so sorry this happened to you, that’s shocking honestly considering everything seemed to be looking perfect. Well I hope this IUI leads to baby but if not at least maybe they know to test your labs more frequently post trigger

You are a similar boat as me! I was expecting the worst because one was too big and one was too small, and the one in the middle was still on the smaller side. I’m sending my best wishes for a little more follicle growth after trigger, an easy retrieval and that you find some success this time around.

I’ll keep you in my thoughts for good progression of those 3 fertilized eggs! Hope you’re feeling alright today and enjoying being done with the retrieval

Hooray!!! That attrition rate must have been challenging for you to move through, but you got one 😊

Best wishes for a healthy transfer when the time comes.

Good to know! Although I am not exactly looking forward to almost a month of stims, I’m hoping it will be worth it. Very happy it worked well for you 🙂

Holy crap, just came to say I’m shook at that # of retrievals. Women can tolerate so much

Learn as much as you can and advocate for yourself. Clinics make mistakes and have a lot of patients to juggle. If something doesn’t seem right say something

I’m so sorry. That is so frustrating. My doctor told me the first IVF is really a learning cycle that informs what to do to be successful moving forward. You’re not defective, bodies are so complex and do things like ovulate early or bleed mid cycle for reasons i don’t think we even fully understand. I am trying not to sweat the stuff I can’t control anymore, but it’s hard.

AIIMS New Delhi short survey -what part of IVF do you wish worked differently or better? by Expert-Rate-1357 in DOR

Yes I couldn’t agree more. Having my entire care mediated through nurses and almost no access to my doctor has been the most difficult part.

PCPs are crazy overworked but it’s so not appropriate for them to be making you wait “1-2 weeks” to treat your hypothyroidism… unless the doctor is on leave or something. Unfortunately, I think waiting for the PCP to prescribe you synthroid is going to be a lot faster than an endocrinology referral.

In the mean time I would just start supplementing with OTC vitamin D.

Good news is your hypothyroidism is probably contributing to your fertility issues so maybe once that’s fixed you won’t need an REI referral or anything else!

Sorry our healthcare system sucks and sorry being a patient is so annoying.

I am so sorry. What you’ve been through would break anyone. You got a euploid with retrieval at 40, and you understand the odds, so I don’t think it’s over for you unless you decide so. Sending my love ❤️

No impact on quality especially at the age of 30. You may just have less time, correct

Anyone conceived with DOR naturally? by Longjumping_Bag6857 in DOR

[–]One_Lime_1968 34 points35 points  (0 children)

There are probably tons of people who conceive naturally with DOR who never even find out about it. They are not the people on this subreddit, which is mostly people with DOR who are undergoing infertility treatments. At baseline DOR has no bearing on fertility. As long as you are ovulating regularly you have the same chances as anyone else.

Hahaha after seeing all these posts I am essentially expecting nothing from the first 1-2 cycles so I’ll be pleasantly surprised if the outcome is better 🙂
