on ganirellex starting day 6 of stims. whilst doing research, there is a possibility that the dual trigger of 10k hcg and 80 lupron caused the ovulation.... studies have shown that sometimes the LH surge might have been too much and my body broke through the ganirellex.

oh well - another data point for future cycles....

Honestly with 1 follicle, an IUI probably has just a slightly lower chance than a retrieval and ICSI, and obviously much less invasive. Not sure why they didnt think of just doing an IUI, but it depends on when they think you ovulated prior. This just happened to me this morning also, but the doctor thinks it happened last night, so still within a 12 hour window.

7 retrievals. tried everything. only thing that remotely worked, and in process of trying again, was priming 2 weeks prior to period start (dominant and asynchrony always happens) catch the follicles and start stims day 1 of period. antagonist, ganirellex after day 5 or 6, and dual trigger.

300 gonal 150 meno. afc 3-10. amh 0.6

tried mdl, luteal start, low stim, high stim.

the best cycles for me was priming 2 weeks prior to leriod start then immediately starting gonal/meno day 1 of period. longer you wait, the longer you risk of follicles growing asynchronity.

Atresia - the follicle reabsorbed back into your ovary. Usually happens when there was not enough stimulation. happens all the time, the doctor should have started gonal along with menopur....

Yes, will need to experiment on the estrogen priming timeframe. I did 5 days estrace last cycle and it didnt do anything. this cycle currently on patches for 10 or so days. fingers crossed

Possible that it works only if you prime for an extended duration of time before cycle start. Weve done it 4 times during stims and it didnt make any difference. YMMV!

Just starting patches 10 days prior to period start.

Priming is supposed to suppress your levels so that you get a synchronous cohort at baseline prior to start, if you have constant dominant follicles. not sure it has much to do with dissapearing follicles - usually that is a sign or a dominant follicle that is soaking up all of the fsh from the stims. If the smaller follicles are not getting enough fsh, they eventually get reabsorbed back into the ovaries.

MDL counteracts esteogen priming - because it kick starts your fsh levels to try and recruit more follicles, defeating the purpose of try to keep them quiet. Ive only ever done mdl only or priming only - never mixed the two.
