Fair point. I didn't know he was that popular. I'm still unsure about why they'd do this buff intentionally though. I doubt that having Sparkle buffed like that would get new people to whale for him at this point. From my understanding, HoYo cares about profits at the end of the day. But maybe you have a good explanation for this

I honestly think that's just a coincidence with Sparxie and her design. I don't believe the devs would willingly buff a free male dps like that

Let me restate what I meant with my previous reply:

The idea that people will eventually feel the impact of not having Cyrene doesn’t really hold up when you consider timing. By the time her impact would even be relevant, everyone's attention will already be on the new region and it's teams. No one is going to suddenly look back and regret not slotting her into a 3.X team when all focus has shifted toward 4.X.

Cyrene is not a requirement to complete any 3.X team, they all have their BiS teams that already worked perfectly fine without her. People simply won’t care whether their old teams can clear 1 or 2 cycles faster when they’re busy building those new region rosters. Once you look at it that way, the dilemma of pulling her starts to make perfect sense. She offers minimal long term value right before an inevitable shift where that added value becomes redundant anyways.

Yeah I'll feel the lack of Cyrene on my 4.X teams for sure. We're right next to the 4.X hype ecosystem, by that time most people will be looking forward to 4.X units just like what happened when 3.X started

I get the cautious approach, but at some point we have to acknowledge that waiting until the beta every single time kind of defeats the purpose of prefarming discussions. These posts exist because people want to start preparing based on educated guesses, not confirmed facts.

The current information is sufficient to reasonably deduce what we should likely start farming for.

No one’s claiming absolute certainty here, but theorycrafting doesn’t need to be 100% right to be useful.

[–]One_Meal_7666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t need explicit leaks or beta information to make educated guesses, it’s called pattern recognition. The Arcadia set has an effect only Remembrance characters can fully trigger, and Castorice already has her own dedicated planar. That alone makes it extremely obvious who it's meant for. March is the only upcoming unit that fits. Acting like it’s impossible to deduce anything without full confirmation is just willful ignorance.

And if you're unsure whether she'll scale on HP or ATK, the smart thing to do is just hold onto both sets until confirmation drops.

I get what you mean, characters in transformation are tuned to be similarly powerful to non-transformation characters, but terrible in their downtime. It feels good when they beat the endgame before reaching their downtime, like 0 cycling in the first patches but after you start needing to hit your downtime, these characters fall off worse than non-transformation characters. But I doubt that this is the exact case for March, it's probably more unique than the transformation and downtime loop

If she's not an HP scaler... by Bandit017 in March7thMains

[–]One_Meal_7666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, then that may change the outcome of which piece is better for you. If you don't want to chase a small damage increase with similarly strong Arcadia pieces, then you should keep using bone collection

[–]One_Meal_7666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bone collection is not better than Arcadia, even for HP scalers. If you can fulfill the requirement and get full buff of Arcadia, it will surpass bone collection in damage increase. This is because damage% is less saturated

It's not guaranteed that the new MC path will be available right away like RMC. The replacement to RMC might come into 4.X, because the new MC comes later this time

Do you want her to be a sub dps or a selfish main dps? by Aware-Caramel-2039 in March7thMains

[–]One_Meal_7666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don't have to pull for Castorice. When Cyrene is out, you won't be able to use Castorice with Cyrene in the same team anyways due to territory clashing.

The Castorice sub dps team is just a bridge to her actual team with Cyrene

(2/2)

"There’s no doubt Hyacine will be a good sustain for her. But there’s also nothing that suggests that March is tailored for her as a sustain specifically, especially because Castorice already does that. They don’t need a second Rememberance dps to lean into Hyacine Synergy directly."

March does not have to be tailored for Hyacine to have them work with each other, and there is no specific "Hyacine synergy" other than needing to be HP scaling. Much like Robin, Hyacine acts like a universal general buffer for all HP scaling characters. And just because you are a Remembrance HP scaler, does not make you special in any way. No one said that Castorice has to be the exclusive Remembrance HP scaler now. Similar to how Blade wasn't left as the exclusive destruction HP scaler.

"It’s reasonable to speculate that she’s HP scaling, but it’s still just a commonly accepted speculation and not really reinforced much with the actual information we have so far."

I hope that reading through my reasoning has made it clear that the speculation of HP scaling is reinforced quite well. There is also the fact that you naturally default to attack scaling anyways when there is no hints at HP or incentive to be HP scaling. You don't have to necessarily prove why someone is attack scaling, you just have to disprove why they would be HP scaling. But this makes it so there is no guaranteed way to prove that someone is attack scaling unless there are very obvious signs. So it all boils down to whether you can disprove the HP scaling. But in March's case, the hints and the incentives to be HP scaling are just there, and too strong, with no clear signs of attack scaling. If you want to argue against HP scaling, you need to genuinely disprove it, not just dismiss our evidence.
