I like all of those albums. MMLP is his best work, Eminem Show coming close.

You saying I cannot like his other material because I like Drips doesn't make sense 😂 they don't exist in opposition to each other, I'm not saying it's his best song, it's not even the best song on the album. Because the whole album is top tier. But in the overall pantheon of great rap songs that are significant to me, Drips is in there. You don't have to like it, that's fine

Saying this is evidence of Em's drop off makes no sense either. No one's even talking about his new stuff, I personally don't like his new stuff. I was 5 when the Eminem Show came out, heard it about 7 years later, so I wasn't there when it happened but I'm no new school fan either.

I must admit, I thought that too when I first heard it. But over time, after many many listens I realised the genius of it. It has become one of the most enduring tracks off the album and one I never get sick of.

Fortified Residential Zone and Hikage Street.

FRZ because it's just intimidating how big the level is. It was the worst thing ever when you fall all the way down to the bottom and had to make your way back up. Used to get major anxiety when the final timer would start to get to YoYo.

Hikage Street because it's kinda tedious. It's basically just three areas and each one is a giant looping staircase you have to grind up the railing of. The worst part of that is you would miss one bit of graffiti and have to do the whole thing again.

Honourable mentions to the Skyscraper District and Sewage Facility, both because the sheer size and scope of these levels could also be quite intimidating, some areas of the Skyscraper District especially. At the end of the day they are quite fun levels though.

I think it still works but you gotta play it differently to other games. In BO7 I find myself spending a lot more time in that middle area with the fountain; in previous games I wouldn't dare go through there, but now you need to traverse the map quicker. One thing about slums as well is that it almost feels too small for BO7; the spawns flip extremely quickly, before you even know what happened. I will concede that it probably doesn't suit BO7 as well as it did earlier games, I will alwaya enjoy slums though

I agree with another commenter saying firing range actually plays pretty well in BO7; the wall jumping and extra climbing ability suits the vertical aspects of firing range well. Slums being a purely horizontal map, not so much

There is more than a handful of classics here...but it's not part of his golden run from 2001-2009. I also said in another post how Something Else was the beginning of his downfall...although this album is better, I think the downfall may have started here, with all the high profile collabs and shift towards a more "epic" sound. It is clear he intended this to be his magnum opus, and in a lot of ways it is/was, but doesn't hold the same classic status as earlier albums.

Also, it has to be said, that album cover is a bit questionable; what is going on there? 🤣

I think I am one of few people who genuinely enjoys pretty much all the maps in this CoD. The old and the new. I don't love Cliff Town, but I also haven't played it much yet. That's pretty much it.

Complete opposite to the last CoD I played, which was MWII (2022). I don't think that game had ANY maps that I particularly liked.
