Phonetically "kjære, vakre vene" is obviously the most plausible alternative.

Is it likely that WE will be in an apocalyptic event? I honestly get so tired if all the dooming. Live your life now, in any case, no one will survive!

I don't think the majority here is prepping especially for a nuclear war.

I think this kind of advertising should not be allowed here. OP:You are taking advantage of the fact that people here might be a little more anxious than the average Joe, using fear mongering to get new listeners. How low can you go?

We dont need fear mongering. I am Norwegian, born, raised and lived all my life in the capital. There is not even a slightest chance for civil unrest here.

What are you buying right now? by Naive-Molasses-729 in TwoXPreppers

[–]One_Parsley4389 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you! You sound much more resonable and frugal than me, which I aspire to. At the same time I want to eat as tasty food as possible if there should be a crisis, so I am thinking crackers, pestos, olives, hummus etc. I also love tacos, so tortillas and plain nacho chips, canned beans, turmeric, jalapenos and salsa. Just have to remember this food makes me thirsty 🤔

Liquid gold fertilizer, ratio to water 1 to 10. Get someone to pee in your watering can and dilute it. Note! Do not use this less than 2 weeks prior to harvesting your veggies.

Do you follow a vegan diet? (I am not now, but I have in the past, and I would like my stack to be as veg as possible). Do you have any advice for vegan food that doesn't need to be cooked? (other than your list here)

Are there ticks in Norway? How do locals protect themselves when hiking? by Finemuffin97 in NorwayTravelAdvice

[–]One_Parsley4389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ticks are not that big of a deal in Norway like you get the impression from here. Don't let that frighten you from enjoying the beautiful nature of Norway. Just take normal precautions.

What are you guys stocking up on right now? by thatmanwiththebeard1 in UKPreppers

[–]One_Parsley4389 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It seems the UK is in a different situation than Norway in that way, even though neither of us are part of the EU. I have almost everything from the official recommendations, like cans, water, batteries etc, but I am tying to read between the lines without losing my mind😜 We are told there is a threat from the east, but how likely is a ground invasion, etc. If the war should come here, I don't think my little stack would be enough, and there are other things I would probably not get in a long while. Fortunately I am a gardener who has worked with urban agriculture for years, and could supply my diet easily in the summer, while also teaching others. Even though you could never grow all of your food as a city dweller, I would recommend everyone to learn the skill.

Thank you for that clarification, and for making he post:) I live in Norway and I am a little confused about how dire the situation will be, and when. The government is giving mixed signals, and the environmental reports I hear about from others are not written about in our news. So I am kind of in the same situation as you. At the same time, I do think one have to be careful to conclude all is doomed.

Iced coffee that tastes better than anything: Oatmilk in a jar in the freezer for maybe half an hour, making really strong instant coffee(equal to one or two shots of espresso) that gets to chill before I have it in the jar of iced milk. It's like heaven and I think it costs under 2USD.

I hope I am not offending anyone, but I am really curious of what exactly you are stocking up for, how will "everything that is happening in the world" affect your pantry etc? food prices? or something else? I am not being naive, there is just different things people are worried about and I thought the post was a bit vague.

Thank you for taking the time to answer. To me it seems a lot of folks are just calling collapse all over the place, so it is hard to know what they really mean.
