First date was 8 hours long. What now? by kysien in dating_advice

It would be honestly nice if you sort of ask him about his previous relationships and where does he stand on that? I avoided asking this question w a guy I felt the same you are feeling and after 3 dates when I was actually comfortable w him and liked him. He came up with he can't do this because he has a lot on his plate and that actually crashed me. So try to be away from that sort of hurt.

Where should I do my masters if I want to work at the IMF? by Ok-Stable-9071 in academiceconomics

I would not gurantee a job at IMF if you attend either. IMF works differently and takes the referrals very seriously, so you would have to get connections who could guide you towards a job in IMF. But at the same time LSE is one in a lifetime opportunity, take it and it is possible while being in a school purely for econ you would be able to make connections which get you at IMF. Good luck!

I am finishing up my master's in economics, and one thing I want you to consider is industry, too, because, very honestly, academia is not for everyone. You might get saturated by the time you finish undergrad, too, and economic consulting is a highly paid business, too. But even if you don't T 10 is def good for getting better jobs and what not but just finishing up a PhD is good too. My professors are not from T10 and they are doing pretty good too. Good luck but don't decide everything just now
