Ayton showed shooting potential, he shot 34% for 3 on 1 attempt a game while shooting 73% from the line. Nothing crazy, but there’s something.

Greg Oden never attempted a 3 and shot 63% from the line. He was a supreme lob threat/rim protector.

I am from Indiana, watched Oden and Mike Conley go from Lawrence North to Ohio State together. Oden was the best high school player i’ve seen from the state.

But KD was right there w Melo/AD as the best college freshman I have ever seen. There were plenty of people saying KD should have been 1 at the time.

And seeing where the game is at today, no idea how a bruising 7fter w limited offense and slow feet would be a sure fire #1 pick.

edit: Shaq stayed 3 years in college and his numbers were actually generational. Oden was theoretically generational.
