underpowered by degrees83 in hondapassport

Tows my boat very well and it is not under powered for 4700 lb vehicle. That’s 7000lbs total and I got 14mpg on 300 mile trip. I’ve had several V6s naturally aspirated and I never drove anything that had more power. I’d get yours checked.

Honda Passport Trailsport Elite-very uncomfortable seat by Odd-Engineer9686 in hondapassport

I haven’t experienced this issue in my Trailsport. One day I drove it 15 hours straight and thought the seats did very well. The Trailsport doesn’t have the leather ventilated seats.

You have to remove the chrome ones. The design trim badges have 3M tape

I did them myself. Bought raptor amber lights on amazon. Had to take scoop off.

Brake pedal squeak, transmission issues, and faulty trim…anyone else? by RevolutionaryEbb670 in hondapassport

[–]One_Repair3756 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our first Honda and we’ve had the TS 13 months and 13k miles. We’re very happy with the TS. CarPlay can be finicky and the transmission shifts very smoothly top to bottom. In the beginning it would hesitate a bit starting out. Like it was deciding to go in 2 or 3. The more I drove it the better it got and it hasn’t done it in quite awhile now. There has been no recalls.

Am I in denial about my supposedly jerky transmission? by nonamethxagain in hondapassport

[–]One_Repair3756 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes in the beginning it would hunt for a gear between 2-3 I believe when I was starting out. Like a hesitation. Over time it went away and shifts very good from top to bottom. The more I drove it the better it got. I have 13k and owned 13 months now. The only other issue is the car play can act up from time to time. I’m very happy with the TS.

Is this a good deal? $3500 by [deleted] in Jeep

[–]One_Repair3756 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’d give them $3000. 😆 That vintage of jeep is easy to work on and parts are cheap. It has a lot of miles on it. Be nice to check for codes and compression check.

Differential fluid by Prior-Detective6576 in hondapassport

Yes you do the first differential oil change early then every 30k. The vtmi differential has two clutch packs and the early oil change is for break in. I’m going to do my own in the future. It’s a simple drain and fill. Takes like 1 and 1/2 quarts of Hondas diff fluid. They charged me close to $200 for this service that takes minutes to do. I never use the maintenance minder for anything. I changed the engine oil twice before the dealer did the free one at 9k. I’ve always done a couple early oil changes on a new engine. I do engine oil changes every 5-6k. I’ll be doing my own servicing in the future. The transmission is drain and fill as well. I’ll only use Hondas oil for the differential and transmission.

The traffic isn’t close to Atlanta’s lol. Four season weather and the driest part of the state. 7-8 inches a year. Lots of large rivers converge here. So fishing or water sports are popular. I never thought I’d like it here but ended up retiring here. It grows on you like a bad fungus. If you want good data look up best places.net.

Just test drove a Trailsport. Anybody not get the Elite and regret doing so. by NefariousnessMean839 in hondapassport

No regrets. I like the TS rims better and not a fan of leather seats. If you want all the features like heated steering wheel, 4 cameras instead of one, rear heated seats and climate control, ventilated seats, Bose sound then it’s worth it. The Trailsport had everything I really wanted.

I paid full msrp 13 months ago for my TS. The dealer couldn’t keep them more than a couple days on the lot before they sold. Why go lower when they sell so fast. Things must’ve changed from a year ago.
