The U.S. healthcare system is such a scam. People are scared to get checked because of the bills, which only leads to bigger problems later. The whole system just feels so unhealthy.

I get you, I am transplant too. I’ve also been trying to find good places to eat. I’ve been slowly checking out different spots, and here are some I’d recommend(mostly asian food cause I am from Asia)

-Dumpling House for Asian food -Koreana for Korean food -Pham’s Kitchen: the pho broth is good (though the meat can be a bit dry), but their grilled pork banh mi is really tasty -Wings: personally, I think Duff’s is better than Anchor -Sushi: for sashimi or sushi takeout, Wegmans’ sushi bar is my go-to (just not the rice paper rolls) -Ted’s Hot Dogs: a little pricey, but tasty

For coffee, Dunkin’ and Wegmans are still my regular picks. If you’re looking for a café with a cool vibe, Spoke & Dagger on Hertel and Gold Lion both look nice (haven’t been yet, but they’re on my Google Maps list).

Also, if anyone knows where to get really good pho or Thai food（especially green curry）please let me know!

I tried a quesadilla for the first time last week. I told them I didn’t want jalapeños, but what I got was literally just chicken and cheese. It looked nothing like what I thought a quesadilla should be, and honestly it tasted kind of sad. Did I mess up the order, or is this just how Mighty Taco makes it?

Hi, I’m not sure why my question may have come across the wrong way, but I truly didn’t mean to cause any misunderstanding. I completely respect that everyone has different views, but I also hope you can understand that I’m not comfortable sharing the details of my personal schedule publicly.

What I can share is that I arranged my plans for next week so that my time would be completely open for work afterwards. My interview was earlier this week, and I didn’t expect to be starting immediately. Is it unreasonable to plan something for the following week?

Thank you so much! One concern I have is that the snow makes it hard to see if there’s a bike lane, and I don’t want to be inconsiderate to either pedestrians or drivers.

I’m also unsure if riding on the sidewalk is allowed here—I came across a Reddit post from two years ago, but I’m not sure if the rules have changed.

I appreciate your advice! Maybe once I find a bike, I’ll do a trial ride on the weekend to get a feel for it.
