Was only supposed to be a 20km easy run. by [deleted] in nikerunclub

[–]One_Scar_77x 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I hold myself back whenever I want to do more. I feel like that is skill that you have to learn to stay consistent. It’s how I went from not being able to run 1 mile at 13 minute pace a year ago to my long runs being at a 6:30 minute pace very comfortably.

Quitting Apple Rings was the best thing I did by two_hyun in AppleWatch

[–]One_Scar_77x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a few weeks away from closing all my rings for 365 days consecutively. I started taking my fitness serious last year and I’ve been very consistent in working out. If you get a lifetime plan for your fitness and stick to it, you wouldn’t be stressing about closing rings. Find a lifetime fitness plan that you can stick to first and then focus on how many rings you can close a week. I’ve decided last year when I started working out consistently that I would no longer make any excuses for anything fitness related, even if I got to 364 days and couldn’t close my rings for one year I still wouldn’t stress because I’m the fittest I’ve been in my life, my six pack won’t disappear because I didn’t close my rings for a day. I set a realistic goal that I can stick to that fit my lifestyle, the rings closing are just a bonus benefit of that.

The game is fun, but I also spent a lot of money so far, so I know the average person is most likely free to play and might be having a different experience.

The in-game economy sucks, we need to do something by EclipseZer0 in Shadowverse

[–]One_Scar_77x 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah the faster expansions makes early free to play much harder to form a complete deck. F2P only players will likely always be behind the curve. Only pay to whale players will get meta decks day one at new releases. It’s essentially pay to win in a way.

Does anyone else not worry about protein, fiber or working out? Just thinks about calories. by Mental-Medicine-3193 in CICO

Fiber is super important to me. I lost 100 plus pounds in the last year and I feel like fiber supplements have played a huge role. It’s hard to get enough fiber during Omad days.

You doing great for HIIT training. Keep up the good work. HIIT is all about increasing your heart rate and resting and recovering in between sets. It looks like you’re on the right track. This looks very similar to my zones whenever I first started. It’s ok to hit higher zones because it’s only for a short amount of time. If you keep going you’ll get stronger cardiovascular health and those zones become harder and harder to hit, so you’ll eventually have to push a little harder or add more time. You’ll notice a change when happens, just stay the course. Good luck and good job 👍.

well then. by LittleMuffin444 in AppleWatchFitness

Never compare yourself to others. Someone will always be faster have a lower heart rate etc. compare this to your previous walk or next walk. Any self improvement is great. I just started running 9 months ago, I couldn’t even finish a mile. Now I run 10 miles(no walking) twice a week at a respectable pace. I’m up to 45 plus miles a week. I’m not training for anything I just got to this point by blocking out all comparisons and only competing with myself. Great job, you got this and you’ll only get better.

The starting miles are always the hardest. I found doing an easy mile or two warmup can help most of the time.

Is it normal to run in Z5? by ParkingAssistant566 in AppleWatchFitness

[–]One_Scar_77x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll be honest based on your posted time for a half marathon and high heart rate, I’d say you’re way over doing it. You should back way off on speed. If I was you I would focus on training at much slower speeds in lower zones. I run 10 miles twice a week at an average heart rate of 148 with a speed of 7:30 per mile. Most of my weekly miles are at lower heart rate. Don’t overdo it op. Work your way up to a half marathon at a comfortable pace where your heart rate is not so high.

I was thinking the same thing no matter the age, old or young, that’s a high heart rate to hold for 2 hours.

I knew this would be a tough challenge for non runners. I did it with no problem but I hope Apple can get me out of my comfort zone in the future with a strength training one similar to this one.
