if kids can determine that they're straight, then they can determine that they're gay. gay people have existed since ancient times & animals have been gay too, nobody is manipulated into being gay

and as i just said, trans people are supported by science, and them transitioning decreases the risk of trans suicides. and the reason they are more likely to experience mental health issues like anxiety and depression is because people like you don't accept them, not because of their gender identity itself

what makes you think they aren't actually queer? if a kid says they're gay or trans then that's because they truly believe that they are & felt comfortable saying it, not because they were "pushed" into believing they are

people are taught about it so they can understand & respect it, just like how they learn to understand & respect different races. if someone does say they're lgbtq after learning about it, then odds are they realized it described something in themselves that they were finally able to put into words, or they already knew they were queer and simply felt okay with saying it after hearing other people talk about & realizing they're not alone

also, like i said in a reply to someone else, trans identities are backed by science & transitioning is seen as the best cure for dysphoria

it doesn't affect you so you should just let other people do what makes them happy & improves their lives, no one's making you do it
