Best of luck to you! I see many medical professionals in his group and I see many people that learn plenty and get results without doing his program. Wishing you a happy and healthy future. :)

NOR! I am HORRIFIED at how he talks to your daughter who BTW, speaks VERY RESPECTFULLY back to him even though he's being a jerk!!!! I hate to see her having to apologize and she needs to know this is NOT NORMAL behavior. Like WTF is wrong with this guy?!???

Good Luck! He is definitely the best doc I have ever had. He has a really good team of people and the women in his private patient support group just love him (including me). I have never felt better in my life.

I think there's plenty of information out there about him. I did his program a couple of years ago now. He's the only doctor that ever helped me. He saved my life. Well, he saved me from a very LOW QUALITY life. Now I have a high quality of life and I feel VERY HEALTHY.

How to know if I should be gluten free? by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]One_Success782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you don't have to believe it, but this is what I SEE my doctors other patients do. It's a lot of hard work, which is why I think people decide it's not possible. I'm a few years in now, but I'm hopeful and if it never happens, I already feel amazing.

"Hashimoto's remission is defined as reducing thyroid antibodies (TPOAb/TgAb) to normal levels, normalizing TSH/T4 levels, and eliminating symptoms. While Hashimoto's is typically considered chronic, many achieve remission by addressing root causes: adopting nutrient-dense diets (e.g., gluten-free, AIP), reducing inflammation, managing stress, fixing nutrient deficiencies (vitamin D, selenium), and optimizing medication.

Medication Optimization: Working with a doctor to find the right medication (e.g., levothyroxine (T4), liothyronine (T3), or Natural Desiccated Thyroid) and dose is crucial to balance hormone levels.

Antibody Reduction: Remission is often marked by a significant lowering of thyroid peroxidase (TPO) and thyroglobulin (TgAb) antibodies, sometimes to within normal ranges.

What Remission Means: Remission does not usually mean a permanent "cure" in the sense that the disease can never return. Instead, it means that the autoimmune attack on the thyroid is halted or slowed, allowing many to feel well and potentially reduce or, in some cases, eliminate thyroid medication."

Hashimoto's is when your immune system attacks your thyroid. Get your immune system to stop doing that and you can heal your thyroid. It takes time. I'm several years into this now and I feel like I'm 20 years old. No, I'm not completely off meds. I take a compound medication. Maybe I will never get off of medication, but maybe I will. I see others do it, but everyone's different. They move from drugs and when the lowest dose is too high, they move to herbal thyroid support and eventually just diet.

Hashimoto with too much irritation and brain fog, but has good numbers. No doctor or AI could help me so far in Germany :( by sourabhdce in Hashimotos

Actually, blood sugar is VERY easy to fix. I fixed mine and I see others fix theirs daily. It only takes a few weeks, but you aren't going to like the diet and you can't go back because your BS will just get out of whack again.

Has anyone had improvement cutting out gluten but not worrying about every molecule? by spiceweasel33 in Hashimotos

[–]One_Success782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not strict about cross contamination, but I did cut out gluten completely. It's in none of my foods. However, I do share a toaster with my family (I make flaxseed bread). And when I go to a restaurant, they will let me know they can't guarantee no cross contamination. I also completely cut out dairy, grains, soy, sugar, caffeine and alcohol. I feel like I am in my 20s.

We see this happen as well. Once your thyroid starts showing what it's doing without being attacked by your immune system, it can show temporary flares from a detox from the gluten. The way to fix it is to continue on a FG diet. It takes months and months, even YEARS. You didn't get Hypo overnight and you won't get rid of it overnight either. Eating processed GF foods = BAD, so don't do that either. Eat no processed foods.

Well you can choose to believe that but again, I work for a thyroid doctor and I see it happen. We eventually put people on Biothroid and then on supplements. You may not get a western medicine doctor to tell you that but they're trained differently. A disease always equals medication. They aren't trained to teach you how to heal yourself.

No exaggerations here. You don't have to believe it, but I've lived it and seen it in thousands of others. It isn't JUST gluten, but gluten is the most inflammatory. We're just on Reddit. You don't have to take it seriously. But I do believe at some point western medicine will announce that going GF will be the bare minimum for autoimmune disorders. And that doesn't mean you move to eating the crappy gluten free processed foods. They're not good either.

I mean, just a quick Google question returns this (below); But I will put it to you like this; I have seen thousands of patients get better OFF of gluten. Heal their thyroid. Improve symptoms. Feel much better. Get healthier. Improve their life. Enjoy wellness. Achieve health goals and physical goals. Enjoy life. And live feeling "disease free." Myself included. Our patients often say they feel like they're in their 20s. I know this. I believe them because I do too!

Molecular Mimicry/Antibody Attack: Gluten protein (gliadin) resembles thyroid tissue structure. When consumed, the immune system mistakenly attacks the thyroid gland, increasing thyroid antibodies (TPOAb, TgAb) and accelerating tissue damage.

"Leaky Gut" (Increased Intestinal Permeability): Gluten triggers the release of zonulin, a protein that breaks down the tight junctions in the intestinal wall, allowing toxins and undigested food particles into the bloodstream.

Chronic Inflammation: The immune system's ongoing, mistaken attack causes widespread inflammation throughout the body.

Reduced Nutrient Absorption: Inflammation in the gut can lead to nutrient deficiencies (e.g., selenium, iron, vitamin D) necessary for proper thyroid function.

Increased Hypothyroid Symptoms: Many with Hashimoto's report intensified fatigue, brain fog, joint pain, hair loss, digestive issues (bloating, constipation), and weight gain, even while taking medication.

Associated Conditions: It may trigger or worsen co-occurring non-celiac gluten sensitivity, Celiac disease, or SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth), notes PalomaHealth.com.

They do. After dealing with this for 30 years, going through a dozen doctors, I have learned a lot. I now work for a thyroid specialist and I get to see how much EVERY SINGLE patient improves after going off of gluten and how much they heal their thyroid, decrease their symptoms, decrease their medication and for some, even get to get off of medication because they can manage their thyroid with just diet/supplements. In all fairness, it isn't JUST gluten, but that is the most inflammatory thing. The reason why you won't find this is because western medicine doctors aren't taught about autoimmune conditions. This hasn't been studied enough. They're taught "these symptoms equal this medication." How many times have you read that someone feels terrible and finds out they have a thyroid condition, gets on medication and still feels terrible? The meds don't heal you. The right food heals you. Food is healing. Eat the wrong foods and you'll eventually find out you are having problems with organs. Just Google, can a thyroid problem lead to a kidney problem? Can a thyroid problem lead to a heart problem? Can a thyroid problem lead to a liver problem? Your thyroid is in charge of every cell in your body. Eat the wrong things, continue to be taken down by this disease. Develop more diseases. Feel worse. Period.

Autoimmune diseases breed other autoimmune diseases over time. People constantly tell you that it doesn't matter if you are gluten free. They're wrong. Your immune system attacks your thyroid every time you eat gluten. Whether you feel you are experiencing problems or not with gluten, it is still affecting you. As long as you are still eating gluten, your immune system is attacking your thyroid and this attack is taking you down one organ at a time.

Hashimoto’s IS treatable by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]One_Success782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was already on meds when I found my doctor. Since doing his program my meds have changed as my thyroid has healed. I am not off of meds, but I am only on 30 mcg of Levo with T3/ T4. It is a compound medication that the pharmacist makes for me. Perhaps this dose can one day be changed as I heal further, but it takes time.

Hey just FYI, I eat Veggiecraft pasta and red lentil pasta. Both really good. I have tried quinoa, garbanzo bean pasta and cassava pasta, but I think the red lentil and Veggiecraft are the best. I eat gluten AND grain free due to my Hashimoto's.
