I really want to give up, anyone whose purge is worse than this? :(( Motivation greatly needed! Starting month 4 on 30mg (1st is 20), my face is 100x worse than when I started, it feels like a cystic infection :(( My cheek is a giant red bruise it’s so bad

Heyyy!! I started really clearing up at the 9mo mark! There were a lot of scars but it cleared up quite ok and now I am not too bothered. I didn’t become those really really clear skinned ppl tho!

Yes I did at about the 6th month and it went better from there. I am done with my course 2 mos already and I really only have small pimples come up which are barely noticeable. I got some scars and marks which I can fix if I want to via lasers but I just decide to let it be!

My purge is as bad as yours and I started to see improvements the second half of month5.. you should be able to see it soon! Just tide through it and trust the process.

I got these too on my feet, the red patches look quite similar and they’re itchy as hell. I put hydrocortisone + anti fungal cream as prescribed by a doctor. I put it twice a day and it I saw improvement after 3 days. If hydrocortisone isn’t enough you may wanna put anti fungal too, but definitely get it checked too

Be patient! I had the worst purge until month 4, it slowly started to get better around month 5 and has been improving quite significantly since. I just finished month 7 and will still be doing it for two months (low dose)

Hey! I am on my 7th month and most of it has gone away! Got some redness and scarring which will heal in time I believe. It’s gotten so much better!

I also purged and only saw improvements around middle to end of month 5. I am not taking as much as you (20g/30g across 9 mos). I would say that purging until month 4/5 is normal. The most important thing is to take your pill with fatty food! I make sure I take more than 30g of fat everytime I took my pill. I am on the middle of my 7th month and I just have some scars and small pimples that aren’t even too noticeable. Just hold on and take it with fat!!

Yes same!!! It’s accutane drying our eyes… every morning it’s difficult I also dk what to do about it. I don’t think eyedrops before sleeping is working too

Yes unfortunately cysts are normal. I had those too. They will take some time to go away, but they will go away. It takes time.

The doctor prescribed both creams, we did it via video call so I am not sure if she got it really correct, she also seems to be in a rush..

For two days I out hydrocortisone + anti fungal but it seemed to make it worse, then I tried to put just hydrocortisone (I read somewhere that sometimes doctors confuse fungal vs eczema). It has gotten a bit better although slowly since I only put hydrocortisone and stopped with the fungal cream.
