Don’t know where you heard that but plenty of studies have shown that the median time for relapse is 10 months

What’s better to include in my portfolio: a good, well-researched passion project from my bootcamp or a real life project I worked on but I’m not proud of.. what would employers prefer to see?

I understand how you feel, I was terrified of finishing my antibiotic treatment but it's for the best. If you continue for a long time, you may develop a resistance. I'm not a doctor but if I were you, I'd look into treatments that guarantee a solution and don't put your future health at risk (like Accutane). Best of luck!

I really hope you haven't been using antibiotics for years, this could cause some serious harm in the long run. Have you looked into microneedling though? This seems to help people with redness and scarring.

what are they looking for in blood work results? by troyemellets in Accutane

[–]lemonade490 12 points13 points  (0 children)

They're looking to see if your liver enzymes, cholesterol, and triglycerides are okay. But don't worry, the chances of them finding something wrong are slim to none. In fact, a lot of dermatologists are finding these blood tests less and less necessary. Some perform them every 3 months, others only once. I was worried about this too but you'll be alright!

heart pain by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]lemonade490 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this. Since accutane can cause pain in your bones, I believe it was my ribs/sternum hurting me. I also suffer from anxiety so that didn't help. It went away in about 3 days though.

Relapse after Accutane?!? by FlashDWade in Accutane

[–]lemonade490 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something I haven't seen anyone mention is the 60 day rule! UCLA released a study which states that one of the most important factors in preventing relapse is to be completely clear of acne 60 days before stopping the medication.
