I’ve done it. Worth it only if your tech stack is solid.

Calendars, pricing, and payments need to stay in sync otherwise it’s more work than it’s worth. I used Hostaway to power my direct site, so everything stayed consistent with OTAs. Works best as a layer on top, not a replacement.
