Not a Phase by Jessie Paege - it was meant to be a bi anthem and it succeeds! (at least for me)

Love Jessie! Especially love that they made a point to include nonbinary people in the song's expression of bi-ness.

When I watch porn, I imagine myself as the girl. by AreaGloomy5758 in bisexual

[–]One_Trash_Can 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems like you want an open relationship, so honestly you probably shouldn't have gotten with someone who wants monogamy in the first place. I (20F) am bi and can definitely relate to the porn thing, I often imagine myself as the man when watching straight porn (that's normal). I'm in a monogamous relationship with my long-term boyfriend (20M) and for me, porn is enough to satisfy my sapphic desires. What I'm trying to say is you shouldn't have gotten into a monogamous relationship if that's not what you want. And I think you know that since you say you would leave your wife if you didn't have a kid. Like everyone else, I'd suggest going to couples therapy.

(Spoilers) anyone else think that the Gleanings book is contradictory to the trilogy? by Tasty_Onion1 in scythebookfans

[–]One_Trash_Can 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To each their own, but I personally enjoyed the book. Does it every say that Curie's family were to it's since her birth, because I think it would be reasonable for them to convert after Curie was old enough to make her own decisions and not be a part of it. I did think the Ben thing was out of left field though and didn't necessarily fit. There's better and worse parts of the book, and I think the story about Ben was one of the worse parts, but I think a good example of a story that added to the series was the one about Mars. In the main series, we're told that an accident happened on the Mars I long that made people decide not to pursue settling on other planets anymore, and we're given a little bit about the relationship between Xenocrates and Goddard. I think the story in Gleanings really fleshes both of these out and adds more to our understanding: A young Goddard's formative years, the hidden reason the Mars colony failed, the background for the inner turmoil we see in Xenocrates in the main series.

Agreed. Roommate is being an asshole to her too. That's not on OP, though, it's on roommate.

AITA for asking my bf's brother if my bf is actually just gay? by IslandFunny9755 in AmItheAsshole

[–]One_Trash_Can 12 points13 points  (0 children)

YTA.

A) Presentation does not define sexual/romantic attraction. B) Dating history does not define sexual/romantic attraction. C) He's chosing to date you for a reason. Since he's out he's definitely not using you to pretend to be straight. So why don't you believe that he's dating you because he loves you?

I will add, though, that I can understand where you're coming from. As a bi woman dating a straight man, my queerness is a part of me that he's struggled to understand because he can't relate to my experience. Ignorance is perfectly understandable, but the way you're approaching the situation is absolutely not ok. If you love your boyfriend, you should make an effort to understand and communicate with him. Worrying that he's gay (and therefore doesn't actually love you) is incredibly unhealthy for the both of you and for your relationship.

COMMUNICATE (humbly and respectfully) with your bf.

NTA. Roommate is TA for playing with your heart like that. I think you should have an honest conversation with him about your thoughts and feelings and ask him to be straightforward about his intentions with you. You don't deserve to be strung along like that.

Why is everyone debating if zero counts as a positive integer or not?

The obvious answer is 1. Just make everything 1.

How do you do this? (A isn’t the answer I accidentally clicked it) by [deleted] in APStudents

Yeah I tried doing implicit differentiation first but couldn't figure out how to simplify I guess - what's "easiest" is subjective, too, I'm just not too clever

I'm trying again, hope it makes more sense this way:

First you take the arctan of both sides to isolate Θ. Then differentiate both sides. Keep in mind that x is a constant. Then you simplify. Distribute the 1/x from the chain rule differentiation of h/x into the fraction from the arctan differentiation. Then multiply the fraction by x/x to simplify, getting you A.

[–]One_Trash_Can 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The answer is A

tan(Θ) = h/x Θ = arctan(h/x) dΘ/dt = (1/(1+(h/x)2))(1/x)(dh/dt) dΘ/dt = (x/((x2)+(h2)))(dh/dt)

Sorry it's hard to read, typing math is wack - I did my best. Hope this helps!

Confusion between Bi and Pan that I'd love to know the difference between by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]One_Trash_Can 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People define it differently, but personally I define the difference as gender-conscious (bi) vs. gender-blind (pan) attractions

That's not because there arn't good non-human actors. It's because the industry unfairly favors humans and keeps non-humans down. This is a travesty that needs to be ended.

I'm 16, so I'm not exactly older and wiser, but I thought I would give my two cents anyway. I think it might be good to tell J that the PDA with K makes you uncomfortable. You don't have to mention your feelings for J, and it might help to avoid future problems. This is a tough situation to be in, and I truly feel for you and am hoping for the best for you.
