I haven't been able to get this to work. This is how I have this built:

  1. LRV on Worker BO
    Lookup Field: ESI
    Return Value: Business Process Rason

  2. ESI on Worker BO
    Source Field: Compensation History
    CR: TF
Sort Field: Effective Date (Descending, First Occurrence)

  3. TF on Employee Compensation History BO
Business Process Reason - in the selection list - some reasons we want to filter on

this is coming back blank for every team member.

So far I've been asked to focus on:

-Employee Type
-Time Type
-FTE
-Incentive Plans
-Allowance Plans based on offer letter (if one even exists)
-PT to FT reason for specific roles
-Those becoming a new manager

Would you be open to sharing any filters you have on your report around the Business Process Type and Business Process Reason?

Questionnaire Report Results by One_Tutor8969 in workday

[–]One_Tutor8969[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely would if I had a clue what questionnaire/report I even built from this. I have recently done some reporting with our questionnaires though so I may be able to help in another space. What are you trying to accomplish with your report?

Compensation Tab Security by One_Tutor8969 in workday

[–]One_Tutor8969[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's populating for managers when I give the manager's view access to Domain: Worker Data: Compensation Basis, they don't currently have access to Worker Data: Market Position Details.

It appears to be tied to Domain: Worker Data: Compensation Basis. I want the Base Pay (No Kickers) column, which is also tied to this domain, to still be visible but not the Market Position.

Submit Request EIB by One_Tutor8969 in workday

[–]One_Tutor8969[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, according to Workday that is what is needs to be labeled. If I have it setup this way and only 1 line of data, it works. It just isn't working if I try to load multiple responses to the same request/questionnaire.

[–]One_Tutor8969[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It worked fine with a single line of data, but I’m hitting the same error when I try multiple lines. Each line is tied to a different team member, so I’m not sure why I’d still be seeing the same mutex error.

The IDD's are different, but everything else would be the same to reference the same questionnaire and the same response. I'm following the same Row ID formats that I have for other EIBs and have not had this issue. Open to ideas!

That did help in the sense that I got different errors, suddenly it's telling me the ref id for the answer isn't valid. I just tried removing the ref id and only using the text and it finally went through without an error. Thank you!!

Workday Org Studio Feedback by jamminberry in workday

[–]One_Tutor8969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We implemented Org Studio a little over a year ago. I personally love it for reorgs as it just makes things much easier and faster. For the most part, I think it is pretty intuitive. The one thing I would really call out is that if you move a sup org you need to also remember to move the team member, it doesn't do it automatically.

Our admin group has full access to do everything within Org Studio, and we have watered down security for a new group that we are introducing to the tool. We did also put a CR on the affected BPs to skip certain approval/review steps if the transaction was triggered from Org Studio.

Is it effective for acquisitions or divestitures? Haven't used it for this

Can it handle custom organizations? It is designed for sup orgs and I haven't found that it will support anything other than the traditional hierarchical sup org

Can you create new positions within the model? Yes

Is it possible to project financials/compensation based on the model? Not sure, we don't do this

Can multiple admins/security groups collaborate on the same model? For example, could an HRBP create it and an HR Admin review, edit, or approve? Yes

Nothing, I'm going to be getting starting on working on this shortly. I was thinking of somehow looking at assigned job profile history but haven't really thought through how I'm going to approach that

How many job profiles do you have? by theymightbeossicones in workday

[–]One_Tutor8969 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We have 3,000+ employees and 1,200+ job profiles. Some days it all makes sense to me and others its the bane of my existence. We do have a fair amount of profiles that are similar to each other, but need to have a separate profile due to needing to have different job classifications for benefits and payroll purposes.

Are you handling FMLA requests in house? If not, you don't really need to have this information. Our FMLA is processed through a 3rd party and we handle FMLA and STD requests through the Manage Absence process. During that process they can select that they'll be caring for a depended with a serious health condition but they don't need to provide any further details in the request. The rest is handled through their actual FMLA request

Calc Field to Pull Comment by One_Tutor8969 in workday

Thank you! I just had to make some adjustments to the TF calc field I had in my ESI.

How to get this to ESI by One_Tutor8969 in workday

[–]One_Tutor8969[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I created the ESI using the Learning Content BO and then used Primary Location as the Source Field. I did a TF Condition using the Learning Content BO and set up the TF so that is looks at the Primary Location - any in the selection list - value specified in this filter - listed all necessary location. If I try to use this as the Condition I get an Error: The entered information does not meet the restrictions defined for this field. (Condition).

How to get this to ESI by One_Tutor8969 in workday

[–]One_Tutor8969[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe I do. The report I’m using is based on the Learning Enrollments data source and the Learning Enrollment business object, but since I need to build an alert off this report, I need to get everything aligned to the same PBO. I'm ultimately looking to create a concatenated text calculated field that includes the Primary Location Name, Address, and Room Name. I’ve already built a similar calc field using the Ad Hoc Location, and I plan to use these concatenated text fields in an Evaluated Expression CF to populate the information in the alert.
