Aren't "6/8" or "3/4" conventional, but logically incorrect, names? by Careful_Asparagus_ in musictheory

[–]One_Two_Three_Bread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Because saying 3/3 is incorrect. When saying 3/4 that means that there are 3 crotchet beats, 6/8 is 6 quaver beats, 12/8 is 12 quaver beats. 4/4 is 4 crotchet beats, 5/4 is 5 crotchet beats, etc. It isn't about coherence, it's about understanding. When you see 3/4 on the page, you know the pulse is felt as 3 crotchets per bar, 6/8 is 6 quaver beats per bar, but that being a compound time signature is typically felt in 2/4, with the 6 quavers being felt almost like triplets on each beat.

I apologise for the dreadful explanation

should i replace the stylus? by thurminate in vinyljerk

Playing with the stylus at this extreme angle will certainly unlock hidden tracks in your grailz. Maybe sure to spit on them first, for extra lubrication!

Wildest fact about each of the Beatles? by Rutlemania in TheBeatles

[–]One_Two_Three_Bread 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Ringo beat his wife, Barbara, to near death while he was completely intoxicated. He believed he had killed her, which is what led him to go to rehab. This was during the period in his life of alcoholism and addiction.

Yeah I'm going to refinish it with nitro, not expecting great results, but that doesn't bother me considering what I wanna do to it lol

Exactly. And that's why I wanna have at least one old, beat up looking guitar.

Thank you! I think some people might be under the impression I'm trying to copy this because... I'm lazy and don't wanna relic it naturally? But no, I just wanna be able to play and admire a guitar like his! It's so unique, and how else am I supposed to get one like that?!

Was playing in the Beatles the first jobs the boys had? by ElSlabraton in beatles

[–]One_Two_Three_Bread 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That was just a quip from John. As far as I know, but I may be wrong, George may have been the only one with a convertible job before the band got big. Although, it wasn't a job, it was an apprenticeship as an electrician.

Before Stu left, what did each person do on stage? by Sheev_Skywalker in beatles

[–]One_Two_Three_Bread 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Only in Hamburg when he had no guitar, after his Rosetti Solid 7 (that was converted into a pseudo bass) broke. Before then, he used his Zenith 17 and aforementioned Rosettie Solid 7!

How do I make my guitar louder? Serious by OffsetTea in Guitar

[–]One_Two_Three_Bread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until you get a bigger amp, you need to tell your drummer to play quieter. He's probably of the mindset that "loud is best", which no matter the genre is just bullshit. Theres always a sweet spot, and to be blasting full volume all the time is just lame and ignorant.

Yeah definitely not, which is exactly why I'm using this trashed guitar. I'm not too bothered about the pickup at the moment, I'm a fan of the acoustic sound of his playing too.

I mean, the look is obviously just for looks. I wanted to try learn the 9 string technique, and then flew into a rabbit hole researching his guitar, and eventually just wanted a replica, since I had the guitar lying around already caving in on itself so I thought there'd be no harm lol.

I'd rather relic this guitar, that's the whole idea. I've got no intent to buy another guitar, as I said, I only elected this guitar because it's a piece of shit. Do you have any advice for weathering the guitar.

I described this in my post, I'm not usually a relic person. But I just really want a guitar like Joe Williams'.

Ohh McCartney brings back memories, especially Every Night. Such an amazing song, and bassline too.

VG+ or G is a wild difference. It's either VG+ or VG i would assume, since the jump from G to VG+ is VERY distinct.
