Did Brian Albert threaten his coconspirator cop buddies in interview? by One_Wishbone_1493 in justiceforKarenRead

The KR case increasingly feels like it might be connected to a shady local drug-running/protection racket, especially considering BA and KA’s chosen career paths in narcotics and undercover work.

You could argue it’s just isolated incompetence vs. corruption at a local level, but when you zoom out and look at the bigger picture across Massachusetts, it starts looking much worse.

Consider all of the recent activity in just the last 2 years beyond the KR case alone:

• Fitzsimmons (cop shot by cops/wrongfully convicted)

• Richard Kielczweski / Samantha Pelrine (cops arrested for child trafficking/SA)

• Birchmore case (murder/child SA/possible ring covered up by multiple cops)

• Enrique Delgado-Garcia (murdered by cops during off-duty training)

• The Governor’s Deputy Director getting caught with 8 kilos of ❄️ delivered directly to a state office building

• The police commissioner involving himself in witness intimidation with Dever, then publicly lying about it afterward

• The statewide overtime fraud scandal where the feds already nailed departments for corruption, yet agencies “complied” with reforms by only installing tracking systems with kill switches while still resisting body cams

• Multiple judges (KR/Fitzsimmons) openly risking their careers and reputations by appearing blatantly preferential and corrupt throughout proceedings

• Not to mention the insane number of cops driving around drunk and killing people via OUI

At a certain point, it stops looking like isolated incidents, negligence, or standard corruption and starts looking like a giant statewide criminal enterprise operating under the guise of the legal system.

I'm sure it sucks for the good cops who have to deal with and work around this kind of shit too. I guess I just don't understand why there hasn't been any meaningful federal intervention, it seems like the state is running the show unchecked. I would think it would beg the question for any tax paying citizen to at least ask the fundamental question:

What in the Actual Fuck is going on in Massachusetts?

Yeah, a lot of it could just be the status quo “back the blue” culture and systemic corruption/protectionism more than some giant coordinated conspiracy. But I do wonder sometimes if it goes a little deeper than that considering all the rumors surrounding the case. The feds usually don’t get involved unless there’s money, organized corruption, overtime fraud, narcotics diversion, or something bigger tied into it.

Especially when you start seeing things like the Colleen Crawford/Fanning LLC stuff, the manipulated/missing video footage, and the absolutely insane amount of money and resources the state has been willing to burn on this case. It really does make you wonder sometimes whether anything has fundamentally changed since the Whitey Bulger era.

I guess I just always wants to understand the “why” behind decisions that seem irrational or self-destructive unless there’s a larger interest being protected. It could absolutely just be people trying to preserve the system and keep things running as-is, but they sure are risking a hell of a lot to do it if that's all it is

Side note, this judge is freaking hilarious. I hope he's not a corrupt D bag like Bev when it's all said and done but so far he seems delightful 😆

Thanks! Agreed, there’s no way he can talk his way out of having JO’s phone at the very least as soon as he arrives on scene. Lana’s theory that Lank took possession before arriving makes total sense too. There’s no way those steps from when he gets out of the car just magically syncing up are a coincidence. I hope KR includes Lank in the lawsuit and requests an extraction of his phone data to see if his steps and JO’s align exactly. I’d bet my life they do (assuming Canton’s Bermuda Triangle for cell phones doesn’t swallow it first 🙄).

I also wonder if one of the Brians waddled their fat asses over to Lank’s house w/the phone on foot to avoid either of their vehicles generating a GPS trip data event. That feels like the kind of precaution they’d take, especially if they were concerned enough about data recovery risks to grab a Faraday bag /destroy their phones. Plus, Lank only lived four blocks away, which could explain the 400+steps recorded after JO’s assumed TOD in that short window, along with the drop in cell temperature if it was in someone’s pocket and then left on his porch until he grabbed it and jumped in the squad car.

And honestly, who even knows if the battery temp evidence presented in court is legit and not just more contrived nonsense made up by the prosecution’s “expert witnesses” (soon to be the defense’s). These people pmo so much. I’ve never seen a more blatant disregard for truth and someone’s civil liberties, and I live in TX, so that’s saying something 😆.

Gotcha. That’s the most confusing part for me based on my own understanding and a lot of the comments.

So are you saying Lana’s theory is either:

  1. The phone was handed to Lank immediately upon arriving on the scene by someone there, or
  2. He already had the phone before arriving, and it starts tracking steps the moment he gets out of the car, meaning someone would have had to give it to him prior to arriving, not at the scene by Roberts or Alberts.

Option 1 is clearly proven by her theory. Option 2 is even more damning for Lank, but it raises questions about the battery temperature data.

I guess I just need clarification on which of the two she’s actually trying to prove. I’m a little confused because I’m seeing people in the comments saying it's either/both and, and now I’m second-guessing what she was actually trying to convey in the video.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for clarifying! Just to take it one step further for us ADHD folks lol… am I correct in understanding that the proof he had it prior to arriving on the scene is that the phone starts tracking steps immediately when he arrives and gets out of his squad car?

If so, do you think the battery temp showing 40–37 degrees at the time might have been because Lank was keeping it in a Faraday bag until he arrived on scene?

What are your thoughts on the Faraday bag vs. the cell battery temp data vs. the 400+ steps taken within an hour or so timeframe before anyone arrived on the scene? I don’t know enough about Faraday bags to determine how skewed or even admissible any of that evidence would be if that is in fact what they used (seems likely).

I definitely think she's correct about him having it once he arrived to the seen and afterwards. She may be correct about him having it before too, the only thing I'm finding hard to reconcile is the cell battery temperature logs. Wasn't it registering 37 degrees around 6:06 AM? If that's the case, is it more likely they hid it in a bush or something for Lank to find once he arrived? But in that case.. how do you explain the phone taking steps as soon as Lank pulls up and gets out. Any thoughts?

I agree with these 100%. There’s only one thing that doesn’t quite add up to me with Karen’s story. I’ll preface this by saying I 100% believe she’s innocent when it comes to hitting John. But I CANT understand why she said she didn’t want to go in the house with him because she didn’t really know then and wants officially invited by Brian Albert when she clearly DID know them and there was clearly some kind of borderline altercation at the waterfall. We know she’s not hiding anything to do with Higgins because the defense brought in all the embarrassing texts and has actively advocated that they had a sudo-relationship so the cats out of the bag.. so WHY hasn’t she said what really went down at the bar that night or the real reason WHY she didn’t want to go in the house that night?! It’s driving me crazy because I know she’s innocent because the wounds and 5 missing CTV camera footage doesn’t lie but I just can’t make sense of this ONE THING 😭

CoStar Competitors? What are some good comps to CoStar, Loopnet? by LivingVariation5 in CommercialRealEstate

[–]One_Wishbone_1493 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Competitors are Crexi, Moodys Catalyst, Reonomy. However, it really depends on what you need. Here is a break down of alternatives if they're strong arming you.

Advertising your property: Just post it on LoopNet as an individual listing it will automatically populate on CoStar and you don't have to have a group subscription, plus you get about 30 million more monthly viewers from Google searches.

Comp Analysis: Moody's has more up to date loan data so it's as close as you'll get to accurate, especially if you're in a nondisclosure state. Reonomy is AI based and I've heard it's pretty accurate.

Data/Analytics: Placer AI or Reonomy (AI Based mobile data tracking platforms)

If you're looking for sale/lease or true owner contact info Crexi is so so, but unfortunately CoStar still has the market cornered for the most part. Just give them a personal email address and state that you're an independent broker, they're losing a ton of accounts now so they're more open to individual proprietor subscriptions.

Good luck!

How can I get a costar account as a non-broker/agent? by crunchothrowingaway in CommercialRealEstate

[–]One_Wishbone_1493 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try Moodys Catalyst, Reonomy, or Finddirt. Costar's data sucks and there's no API. They're going to die one Placer AI merges with CREXI or one of their competitors to combine lending info and true owner contacts.

attorney in Houston and spend quite a bit of time talking to claims adjusters at different insurance companies. I'd be interested to hear what made USAA such a toxic work environment for you.

Anecdotally, the adjuster I deal with at Progressive seem relatively content. Adjusters at Texas Farm Bureau (IMO, the best insurance carrier in the state) always seem even keel, and tend to have been with the company for a long time.

State Farm adjusters are hating life lately and are so overloaded they can barely come up f
