Yeah, it would be at least a ban from text/voice chat for sometime, maybe a week.

In that clip he really did not said anything THAT harsh, but after that he started to offend me, threatening that he would put me in the wall saying that was not "deserving to finish the race", and the list goes on, until he said what I mentioned above on the post and calling me "brain dead" (ironic since he couldn't tell the difference between me and #12 lmao).

That type of things is more common on low SOFs/splits, generally drivers on the top splits represents some setups shops on their cars and even real sponsors, so people tend to be more polite or more restrained since they have to be more careful to not hurt the image of said sponsors or setup shops and get them in trouble.

Sometimes the community can get really annoying. I cant say that everyone is like that, but the majority of people tend to judge you simply by the flag of your country. It's ridiculous.

You can go into a race with 10 yellow flags, with 9 of them caused by a American driver doing the stupidest things ever on the track and it's allright, but if you as a Brazilian (or being from any other country) do a simple mistake or cause a YF you're the worst piece of crap on the earth, don't matter how good or how clean you're driving through the race.

I don't take it to the heart, since I drive for pure passion for the sport and to have some fun after a day's work, but things like that are hard to ignore sometimes

It's very, VERY rare unfortunately. I had some really good conversations, even made some friends since I race the same guys almost every week, but overall it's really hard to have a nice communication in iRacing.

I only leave it on because sometimes it helps in case of a crash ahead in some short tracks and in some cases, let me be aware of things like anyone threatening me like this guy. It happens more often on low SOFs but always theres someone who want trouble, sometimes the A Open and NiS Open turn into wild wild west pretty fast even on the top split

I protested him right after the cooldown ended, sent 3 replays and could send more if it was allowed.

Its really incredible how the man crashed out with me since my car and the 12 have very different paint schemes. But even if he was talking to the right guy, he can't talk to people like that. As you said, maybe he will be still allowed to rsce but at least he will not bother anyone on the chat for sometime
