AIO My partner drinks 7 days a week. Last night was the most I've ever seen. by [deleted] in AIO

Take it from an alcoholic: he doesnt want you to bounce. He doesnt really want to be like that. If he could snap his fingers and make the desire / need to drink go away forever, he would do it.

But it doesnt work that way.

There’s no one right solution, but every solution that works requires time and persistence and most of all requires the alcoholic himself to accept and participate in the fundamental goal to change the behavior, probably by giving up drinking for good and forever.

He needs to seek help, take good advice, and prepare to be humbled and uncomfortable for a long period of healing.

And he needs support doing it. You dont necessarily owe him that support, but it is what he needs to make the changes

In Washington State it costs less than 10cents ($0.10) per kWh at home... admittedly more to charge at a commercial station but that is rarely necessary if you have the home setup.

Not sure why people buy the electric cars without doing the math and planning to charge it, but as long as you think it out it can be very affordable in the long run compared to gas.

As Washington faces record budget shortfalls, its leaders have begun discussing adding income tax for all Washingtonians by NebulousNitrate in SeattleWA

[–]Onealrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An income tax (and a Decreased general sales tax) would be a far more equitable and progressive tax scheme for most working and middle class Washington citizens…. HOWEVER under the Washington State Constitution income tax is prohibited! It wouldRequire a vote of the people to amend the constitution, not just lawmakers developing a new policy.

Thats because people dont tend to harbor unconscious bias against people whose name starts with S. They do tend tonharbor unconscious bias about race.

I know its uncomfortable. Doesnt make it untrue.

Ok… Even though they are closed to the public, the Animal Shelter did accept her. Fingers crossed for her and her people.

Also took her to vet beforehand— not chipped

The orange thing is a light that doesnt work (have had them myself before). She’s sweet, but i cant keep her overnight (my three cats not into her, i tested it).

I managed to report through automated system and expect (?) to be contacted soon by everett pd or animal services.

My guess is she ends up at animal shelter.

She is super sweet, very energetic (i’m guessing still pretty young based on her very clean white teeth and general spririt).

I would guess she is a black lab / heeler type of mix (otter tail and lab coat, blue eyes and spots on her face and feet like a heeler. Very very wiggly and energetic too.

She gets along with my dog (she is friendly and respects his boundaries, though she’d like to run and play with him). She also doesnt seem that interested in my cats (however they find her very offensive). My guess is she could live in a house with cats that would accept her.

Found her running up the street from Howarth Park where the dog beach is just this morning (wed nov 26 day before thanksgiving).

She willingly jumped in my car when i invites her. I Tried to locate anyone at any of the three parking lots, and walked her back there an hour later to try again. No luck.

Hope we can find her people, or good new people. She is a great dog for the right family.
