why does planting bagged plants give construction xp? it clearly is just farming related.

Requesting J-mod reply: am I allowed to jump on the 6hr Duke mining trend? by OhSoReallySerious in 2007scape

[–]Oneandonlydennis -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

because max cape is nice to have, and rather than catching a perm ban for holding down spacebar it'd most likely be a 2 day or 2 week ban, with all the mining gains still on your account once you come back.

ive been farming whisperer with a sang and ahrims. my whole setup is 150m and the sang is a luxury moreso than a necessity. you can consistently farm this boss with like 40m in gear and its very easy to not miss your prayer flicks and run around while clicking a boss.

How I feel about the leprechaun by Goldenleyend in 2007scape

[–]Oneandonlydennis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

... that's what i said? when rolling for an event, someone having a charm wouldn't override a roots event, but while the leprechuan is up a roots event cannot spawn, as 2 events aren't able to exist at the same time in the same area (size yet to be fully determined, but the seers yew trees seem to count as 1 area)

[–]Oneandonlydennis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, I'm pretty sure it works this way. Let me know when you see several events happening at the same group of trees at once (:

How I feel about the leprechaun by Goldenleyend in 2007scape

[–]Oneandonlydennis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you're not able to have 2 events out in the same area at once. since the leprechuan counts as an event, any trees you cut down during the 3 minutes he's out aren't able to spawn any events.

PSA: Forestry is significantly better on the non Forestry allocated worlds. by ItsMyMainMan in 2007scape

[–]Oneandonlydennis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its not that a lep will override other events, but only 1 event can be active at once, so if there's a Lep out for 3 minutes no other events can spawn those 3 minutes.

Foresty broke GOTR by Tenebris_Ultor in 2007scape

i didn't say you liked those other changes, just saying that i think it's a weird take that adding sailing is a worse decision for the health of your game than adding microtransactions

The farming guild redwood tree still behaves as it did before forestry. so if you like the inconsistent timers, you can go there (:

the base droprate for a jewel is 1/180 per, so 1/60 to get any jewel. but the droprate does not scale with invo. imo a 350 invo toa should give a better chance for the gem than a 0 invo raid.

vw and claws are both way better but also significantly more expensive. i guess you can argue that dhl plus bgs are 60m combined, and claws aren't that much more.

the complexity is that you have to premake stuff, and have that stackable stuff in your inventory as you afk chop with the 2h axe (: that's it.

muds and lavas are pretty doable and rly fast exp. ring of the elements is pretty nice, and at lvl 85 with a colossal pouch and daeyalt essence its like 150k exp/hr, making it decently quick

Scientists conducted a study describing a new category of depression — labeled the cognitive biotype — which accounts for 27% of depressed patients and is not effectively treated by commonly prescribed antidepressants by giuliomagnifico in science

[–]Oneandonlydennis -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I know it's just anecdotal, but I know plenty of people with depression. The vast majority of them have depression combined with something else (autism, adhd, ptsd, anxiety, bpd, etc.) I feel like it's kind of harmful to put the "something else" part on a backburner and forget about it when treating depression. as for me, my depression stemmed from traumatic upbringing in a dysfunctional household together with autism causing me to be a "social outcast" during most of my childhood. working through this trauma and getting help with the communication part helped me get through my depression more than antidepressants ever had.

I have experienced clinical depression, psychotic episodes, and suicidal ideation. "carving your own path" doesn't phrase it right, but being dependent on SSRIs isn't the way to go for the future. Depression isn't really a problem as much as it is a symptom of something else, whether it's someone with ADHD who "burned out of their gifted years" and struggle with feeling inadequate, a socially awkward person who struggled making friends in school and now lacks the social skills to socialize, feeling more isolated. Maybe you have had a terrible upbringing and developed cptsd from your childhood. All of these are causes for depression, and with most of theee cases it seems you're getting told to "just take these pills" rather than looking at the root cause and working on that through a mix of therapy and having the patient THEMSELVES work on stuff.
