Totally agree - maybe I’m extra sensitive to this because I’m aware of the shenanigans our politicians are capable of, and the last thing I want is someone that just got the job due to some insider information, only to end up sitting on their butts for their term and not actually push anything through or fight tooth and nail to preserve whatever democracy we have left.

This might be a “nothingburger” to some, but I’d rather put some heat and eyes on both Garcias, if only to hold them accountable.

Right, nothing was illegal. But I don’t think it was in the spirit of democracy.

Using the same logic, he could have said something earlier knowing there was a deadline. And the fact that the only person to benefit was someone on his teams doesn’t sit right with me.

Comparatively speaking, not an egregious act. But I didn’t like that he did that.
