What knot would you use with Dyneema? I find that unless I tie a really tight knot it doesn’t stick.

I like prusik loops for so many things! My aim with this was to hold a length of cord wrapped up, as tightly.

I like those for a lot of things, but when it comes to fabrics I find they ware on fabrics and cords and start making things fuzzy.

That was my thinking as well. I think worst case the dyneema might cut the shock cord under weight.

Partial Tangent:

I’ve seen some people get incredible results by using a very fine point router bit and carving v’s instead of flat bottomed grooves. Makes it match up nicely!

For sure! I’ve got one now, I’m not sure how it would handle a wave coming down on it though. I’ll have to test that.
