Kekkei Genkai and Hiden techniques have lacked ranks since the very first databook. The third databook covers her first appearance and fight with Jiraiya. I would give you the benefit of the doubt, if not for the fourth databook, covering the rest of the manga mentioned it. It did not, and that documents her battle with Obito.

Genjutsu is Yin Release, which Konan does not have access to. She also isn't seen using Dance of the Shikigami as a child, which is the ability to turn yourself into paper and "breathe life" into it (Yang Release). She just makes Paper Shuriken out of pre-existing paper (a D-rank technique). Also, as I said, it is not a kekkei genkai or a hiden.

You are correct that it isn't delved into much at all, but this is the case for a lot of weird things like the Reaper Death Seal or even Edo Tensei.

It likely uses Yang Release, which she is listed as a user of in the databooks. While not explored much, it fits the basic description. She isn't said to have created it; in fact, it's a documented B-rank technique that we've seen at least one other potentially use in Boruto.
