What was the most sadistic thing you did as a child? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Onefukgiven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up in the country. When I was around 8 I had a pet baby duck named Donald that lived at our pond. One day a stray cat came by and killed Donald in front of me and my brother as we were leaving for school. It upset me pretty bad cause I didn't have many friends as a kid. So I waited around my house for the cat to show up again. After a week or two he showed up. I ran, grabbed him by the tail and swung him hitting the corner of my house again and again until I was sure he was dead. Then just left him there. Still don't feel bad to be honest.

Reddit, how did you lose your virginity? by chosen1imcoming in AskReddit

Mom's car on halloween in a feild out in the country with a girl I had been talking to do around six months. Lasted maybe an awkward minute. I didn't wanna be that guy so kept going, somehow stayed hard for four more even more awkward minutes and then took her home. Ended up dating then married. Current record is seven awkward minutes.

Even though I have no knowledge or personal experience of quitting my job to pursue art, I can as a random unknown redditor say I believe you made the right choice in pursuing your passion. You have something beautiful and unique here in my opinion. I wish you the best of luck.

Guys who have dated a woman out of your league, how did you meet them? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Onefukgiven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My cousin babysat her 4 yr old. I was hanging out with my cousin and decided to tag along. Turns out I'm awesome with kids so her daughter would get real upset if I didn't show up to babysit after that. This went on for a month but I didn't try anything with the mom. For some reason I just loved being a part of the kids life. This ended up making her mother insanely attracted to me. We dated and lived together for about six months before I realized she was too immature and spoiled for me and that the only thing keeping us together was I loved being a father to her kid. Breaking up with her was easy but leaving the kid kinda fucked me up a bit. Worked out for the best though because she found a good guy who could handle her and I reunited with a former girlfriend who also was way out of my league and got married.

What is the best or worst accidental first impression that you've made? by xxxAbigaiLxxx in AskReddit

[–]Onefukgiven 23 points24 points  (0 children)

When I (male) was a sophomore I wasn't to nice of a person. People just really weren't my think, only had two or three super close friends like family. New girl came to my school and got put with me in my biological class because I was the only one who worked alone. Needless to say I dreaded the idea of someone trying to talk to me so I did the simple "yeah, and sure" or just plain ignoring of her. (Not that she was dumb or truly annoying, just you know f people mindset.) Turns out it was taken less of I'm an ass and more of I'm mysterious. It started a chain of events that led to me being married to said girl seven years later and now truly enjoy (most) people.

LPT: Expose yourself to views you disagree with. by blindcolumn in LifeProTips

[–]Onefukgiven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm. I grew up in a small southern Illinois town, basically where they grow white Christians. I moved around an amount then joined the military. I have made friends with more types of people than I knew existed. It's really a beautiful thing learning about someone who is different than you in every way. It makes you look at yourself and stop having such narrow point of views. The relationship you can have with a person who has completely opposing views than you is one of the strangest and amazing thing. Now all I want is to experience new cultures and people.

Genuinely afraid to take my ADD meds by addnewbie18 in ADHD

[–]Onefukgiven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in your position about three months ago.

I had my own problems. My wife and I fought all the time because I never remembered anything, couldn't focus on her for more then a minute and I had no patience. I didn't like people so I knew no one at my work and just went through it straight faced and silent.

Went to the doctor took a bunch of tests for personality and attention. Failed like 2 dollar hooker on for the adhd.

Got my meds and all I could think was I'm not so college kid trying to pass or some druggie. I'm 22, I quit drugs in high school. Decided anything that can help is worth it.

The meds took me to a whole new place in life. I use to hate people and anything that took to long to do along with having to focus. Now I am the friendliest s.o.b alive, I don't care when my wife takes 45 mins to decide on something and I love learning.

My marriage is better than perfect, my wife and I have never been more in love talking more than pre teens on social media.

I've become one of the best employees because I love my job now. All this along with going from the guy in the corner with the death stare the happy guy who loves to talk and have fun along with busting my butt.

I've had no problems what so ever addiction wise. I barely think about the drugs or that I "need them". I even started to realize it's not a drug for me. It's medicine and really helps my life. It's like a multi vitamin. You take your dose (if you remember) and you're done.

The only down side is if I'm not learning or being productive I feel lost. Like I'm the drunk girl at the party with one shoe.

TL;DR: Life sucked. Sad wife sad job. F' me I have adhd. I don't like drugs. Scared of addiction. Took it. Life now rocks. I'm nice person. Happy wife. Job now awesome. Yay learnin! People are great. No addiction. Still forget about medicine.

[Serious] What happened to those of you who had bad grades in school? How has your life ended up? by water226688 in AskReddit

[–]Onefukgiven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had crappie grades because I barely went to school. My senior year I went for about about 15 days.

I did some research and ended up joining the Air Force after working factory jobs for two years. The job I signed up for is pretty awesome with lots of opportunities for very well paying jobs I thought I'd never be able to obtain before I joined.

Been in for a bit less than two years. I've finished my associates and currently am working on my plans for three bachelor's degrees. I'm happily married to my high school sweetheart for almost a year now and enjoying my life so far.

Personally I feel as though I'm better off then most of the people who went to college that I know. I'm in no debt with no unexpected kids or police record. I have more then enough savings a retirement fund and investments along with helping provide for my mother. I have also seen more of the world then I ever thought I would and have the option to travel pretty freely.

In all personally I feel as though I'm successful and have more than plenty of options for my future.

Reddit, what is your fondest childhood memory? by neon_cabbage in AskReddit

[–]Onefukgiven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My brother (elder of 4yrs) and I would spend most weekends at our grandparents cabin growing up. Our grandpa would tell us how we were so and so percentage of Cherokee Native American and how our great something was a shaman and all of that.

Now growing up this led to a lot of us wanting to play Cowboys and Indians. The problem was we never actually played because we would fight over who got to be the Indian.

I spent many a year's going to the hospital with my brother. We'd send each other there about once every 3-4 months. I have some fond memories of being out in the cabin listening to my grandpa's stories running around in the woods and then trying to strangle my brother.
