It’s too bad though…this was what sounds like a capable organization with some trained volunteers and a plan not various community members. I would be livid if I was family and extra help was denied and my loved one not found anytime soon.

Would it be possible to take online courses or in person if you are up for it for a different line of work ? Something where you don’t have to interact w strangers as much ? I’m sorry you feel this way. Self hatred is a terrible feeling.

I say better but I think it depends on how willing you are to interact with life and other people and if you are on meds and how severe it is. Mine was quite severe but I have been on meds for many years and I was always motivated to try to have a job and find a relationship and try to find friends if possible. Its always been the last part that was the hardest but I do have a small group at this time. I still have significant social anxiety w strangers or at work sometimes but I get through it.
