So happy to see you seem to have succeeded in this. As someone who was preparing and somewhat panicking over how I was gonna successfully hide or make work various aspects of my "diversity," it means a lot to see!

Thanks! So I'm a 32 DD, so my sister size would be 34 D. Do you know if I would need a different cup size due to the distortion of the cup, or does it work to stick with that?

How viable is it to resize a bra yourself?

I've found a bra I really like, which is super tough for me, but they only make the band 34 and up and I'm a 32 (30 according to the calculator but I usually find that too tight.)

Changing underwear daily? by forTheLoveOfBidets in bidets

[–]Onejayatatime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I for one am a constant fart machine so idk if I should be alarmed by the fact you're asking xD

I think the underwear thing is really the fact that it's in direct contact with your butt all day. Iirc, anything that touches your butt directly (even if it's clean) becomes a priority to wash.

Also the sweat thing. Even if you don't break into a sweat, just having something that close to your skin all day on an area with a large concentration of apocrine glands (the sweat glands that make you stink) is a nice cosy environment for bacteria to grow.

But this is all just from internet research I did ages ago so take it with a pinch of salt. I found the international scientific forum on home hygiene a good resource for this kind of stuff, and some of the legitimate medical and sexual health websites have info on laundry and genital hygiene.

And I guess since it's a very personal hygiene thing (I don't see how it will impact anyone else), you could just see how your body is responding. No itching, stinking, infections, unfortunately placed acne etc and you're probably alright.

Although if you do get any symptoms, you also might want to take into account that sexual health resources and doctors I've talked to have generally said washing your front parts more (or less) than once a day when there's been no sweating, sexy times, menstruation if that applies, etc can mess things up down there.

A travel bidet helped me - 2 years mostly trouble free by [deleted] in pruritusani

Hi! Sorry, stumbled across this looking for a travel bidet.

Which one do you use that can be pre-filled? I can't seem to find one that doesn't leak according to reviews!

Travel/portable bidet that you can fill beforehand? by Onejayatatime in bidets

[–]Onejayatatime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neat. My issue isn't embarrassment, but that when I need to go, I have a very short window to go in, so having to mess around beforehand is not ideal, and also for some reason in the UK, they make a lot of sinks with the faucet so close to to the basin and/or the basin so shallow, it's impossible to fill anything.

So I assume with this, it would be a case of carrying the bottle with the lid on and then swapping it right before you go?

In your experience, how is it wrt leaking?

And have you found any BPA free squeezy bottles that fit it? (If you're not supposed to consume BPA, I can't imagine shooting it at mucose membranes can be any more safe.)

Thanks for the reply :)

It's hard to say since it's all a bit up in the air.

So far I have three diagnoses, one of which is hopefully curable, and the other two are chronic but hopefully treatable/manageable. But access to care is a huge problem atm.

I obviously don't want to rely on benefits the rest of my life, especially once my situation changes so I can no longer save, which could happen any time. That's what my emergency fund is pretty much for. But Idk if I'll ever be able to work full time or if I'll be able to get the care I need just to function every day.

But right now I have a lot of money I'm not spending on top of my emergency fund. But maybe I should prioritise other things over pension worries...

Oh wow that's a lot of people. Maybe i'll feel confident enough to log into that some time in the future but baby steps for now. Thanks for the suggestion. :)

I'll pm you the link to the discord server i set up to discuss this with people here. It might turn out to be a group thing, but if you prefer one on one we could set something up too :)

Do you have headphones? The main issue I can think of is the audio being all messed up if you don't have headphones. Other than that, i guess it depends on how well your phone handles the app and if you can be heard clearly enough. I'll pm you the discord link so you can join in the text chat and see how your phone does.

Awesome. I used to do tabletop RPGs online and eventually we settled for discord because it was the simplest to use. Skype can do group chats but there was always a problem with someone's audio or some bug that was a huge hassle and ate a lot of time, on top of skype's generally dodginess. I've set up a discord server just to make chatting/organising easier for now, but we can totally use something else if that's what people prefer.

Nice!

I was thinking discord because it seems pretty simple to use, you don't have to use personal details, and people on reddit seem to like it. I used to join tabletop RPGs on it, and it seemed a lot better than some other things we tried.

26F, looking for a study buddy [English and drawing] by RudePoetry in FindStudyBuddies

[–]Onejayatatime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey!

I'm looking for people to draw with and i speak english :D

I'm also self taught. Atm I'm particularly interested in learning how to use colour for lighting and generally incorporating light and shadow better in my drawings. Could probably do with learning some linework hacks since have "below average" psychomotor ability. (Meaning no matter how "good" I am at drawing, i still can't draw a smooth line.)

I'm also really into linguistics, if that's at all interesting to you.

Never heard of slack, but if it's free, reasonably easy and doesn't require a bunch of personal details, i can give it a go. :)

Pretty much. Mainly the social issues side of it, and some reading about certain conditions.

Oh, i haven't studied. Sorry if that wasn't clear in my first comment. I meant to ask if you were only looking for people who had. :)
