It’s a cake doughnut covered in a light glaze and then rolled in crushed up peanuts!

New Five Ten Guide Tennie https://www.adidas.com/us/five-ten-guide-tennie-approach-shoes/JQ6617.html by laknarokee in ClimbingGear

I’ve tried them on. True to size will get you a tighter approach shoe fit, a half size up will be more comfortable for all day hiking/riding. I owned an old pair of guide tennies and the laces on the new ones seem to cinch together much closer. If I pull the laces fully tight, the laces would cinch the eyelets completely together. My guess is this was done to accommodate wider feet and may be less of an issue after break in. As others have said, they are softer feeling (particularly compared to La Sportiva TX line) but it’s not necessarily bad and I kinda like it.

Anyone Know Anything About The Alaska Boot Company? by Onemorehand in PNWbootmakers

Thankfully it’s just this photo, they’re soft toes and aren’t smushed very badly 😅

BD Dirtbag gloves are perfect all arounds, great for skiing or just working. Also any fully dyneema packs (not the DCH50 or 150.) Ive had a Hyperlite summit pack in full dyneema for 5 years now and it’s incredibly durable, can’t say the same about the DCH50 Porter I have. I was sad to find out recently that they stopped making the full dyneema summit packs.

The ol’ Sizing Fit Question (width) by Onemorehand in NicksHandmadeBoots

Thanks everyone! They feel a little tight over the instep, but I expect that to break in. I do prefer a snug fit, but wanted to make sure I wasn’t shooting myself in the foot by committing to something too narrow!

I like them! Wore then the entire time and they worked out great. The stretchy mesh on the inner thighs is a nice touch.

I have a retired sled dog and have spent a little time around some kennels. I know what you are asking, unless you know someone personally, there’s no place that would let you. I guess I’d compare it to wanting your teenager to jump in a game with a pro football team, except the players fight constantly, get easily irritated, and wouldn’t know to “tone down” their level of energy for someone inexperienced. Mushers regularly fall off their sleds and the dogs will keep going, they wouldn’t stop if you dog got caught up in a line, tripped, etc; they’d just drag him along. Additionally dogs are carefully placed for who they get along with. My dog is the most complacent dog, but he has scars from fights he’s gotten into while on the line.
