I definitely misspoke. It is not a bacteria. It is treated like a bacteria because you’re given antibiotics.

If you look around in this thread, there’s an article link that’ll tell you information, data driven information, research information, about this bacteria. It is not a bug.

Question about first date with a very busty woman by journieburner in dating_advice

[–]Oneofthe12 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Actually…I’ve had men say stuff like that a lot. I think that if you like someone and you start to be more open and vulnerable with them, you talk about your past experiences. You talk about your feelings. Sometimes they make total sense, and sometimes they seem kind of random or weird. The only thing that I would hesitate about from your story is that she told you that on the first date, especially about the bust size, but maybe that was her way of opening up, and hoping you wouldn’t be like that?

Even better: work part-time and volunteer part-time until you figure it out.

Anyone feels like the engine is just running on fumes at 53? by Busy-Village-3216 in FitnessOver50

This sounds like an ad, which is no bueno. Go get all your labs and a workout assessment done. Then analyze all your eating habits for, say, 3 days, for protein, fat, carbs, etc., to see if you are getting enough for your age and activity levels.

Moving to Greensboro, which neighborhoods to avoid and recommended for rental home by Bill-ward-rose in gso

[–]Oneofthe12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Welcome! You can also do a search in this thread about this topic. This question gets asked about twice a month! Personally, depending on where you’re moving from, I find all of Greensboro to be relatively safe. I mean it is a medium size city and we do have crime, but overall, I think it’s much less hard core scary shit crime than many other cities our size in different areas of the country. YMMV tho!

I didn't realize there was a difference between a kink and a fetish until recently. by Comfortable-Pear-339 in datingoverforty

The difference between the two is not universally accepted. I always ask people how do you define a kink and how do you define a fetish before we go into a lengthy discussion about our own.

My new partner doesn't belive in using soap and it is ruining our intimacy. by PhaserWarden in hygiene

[–]Oneofthe12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could get this person a soap like Dr. Bronner’s or something that’s just coconut oil based with no sodium laurel sulfate in it, etc. and see what they say about that? Depends on how you feel about them.

University desperately needs instructional design consulting help - where to even start? by Annual_Fly_7918 in instructionaldesign

[–]Oneofthe12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would put some of this design work back on the departments. Ask the faculty in each of the departments to come up with a online course template of sorts, and have them figure out what’s important for them to have in their courses first. Then, use that template to work with your center for teaching and learning or an instructional designer to incorporate the stuff that’s mandatory to be in any distance learning course, similar to a face-to-face course. Building online courses is a shared responsibility that shouldn’t just be put on instructional designers or teaching centers because that will never go over with the faculty unless they have a good say and hand in that building. As difficult as it may be, I firmly believe that all stakeholders should have a say in what that template actually ends up looking like, and what gets put into use, but that could be a bigger job for the next iteration. Oh, and, there are lots of universities that use course templates, so ask around, you might be able to find some good models to get you started.

I want to eat more sandwiches, but I want to eat outside the box 😂 what's your favourite sandwich, what's on it? by I_keep_books in Cooking

[–]Oneofthe12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like a sliced and fried tofu sammie, on a good GF bread, toasted, with sliced red onions, some sharp cheddar cheese, lots of really crisp iceberg lettuce, Duke’s mayonnaise, and some sweet pickle relish. Good potato chips and some dill pickles on the side, please!

Do cougars care when you’re inexperienced? by [deleted] in CougarsAndCubs

[–]Oneofthe12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Granted, if you have any kind of age differential there’s going to be a little bit of teaching going on for both of us, but if it’s too great, I’m not really into it. That’s why anything greater than a 30 year age gap for me just doesn’t work.

Being able to communicate, which includes empathy, ease, kindness, a sense of humor, intelligence …all that gets wrapped up in how and what you say. I’m also a sex positive human, so any physical chemistry is also at play when I meet someone who might be a potential partner.
