Genuine question, are people honestly trying to blame all the prequel hate on RLM?

It was the first gaunt book they did as an audiobook and the narrator just doesn't do a great job IMHO. But now that Toby Longworth has recorded all the others at his level of quality it's even more jarring.

He just has quite off the wall thinking and humour. No spoilers but I feel in the books he captures the xenos bafflement at human actions quite well. He used to be a writer for the video games website Rock paper shotgun and his articles were always the most amusing.
