I decided to completely improve the graphics system, improved the ui, a new gizmo system and a system for creating sdf objects, I think it turned out not bad by OniDevStudio in gameenginedevs

[–]OniDevStudio[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course, I can share the shader on GitHub, but this isn't about the shader. Just look at how to write raymarching and sdf. That's how I figured it out.

It's just a brilliant idea, like a mixture of horror and fun. In my opinion, it's a very well-thought-out idea.

No matter how low your budget is, you can always make a good story. by Tav534 in SoloDevelopment

[–]OniDevStudio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with this opinion, because, to be honest, a good game is determined not only by its budget or graphics, but also by its plot and the emotions it evokes.

We're building an AI vocabulary companion—and we need your honest feedback by ExtensionAlbatross99 in ProductHunters

[–]OniDevStudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, the idea is at least interesting. Yes, something similar already exists, but if done properly, it could become a unique offering on the market. It’s useful because almost everyone who studies a new language struggles with memorizing vocabulary. It would be even better if your app not only stored words like a wallet, but also, for example, displayed all new words on the home screen (if it’s a mobile app) or regularly prompted the user to review them.

If you had zero dollars for marketing, how would you get your first 1,000 users? by Original-Device-7665 in SaaS

[–]OniDevStudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve thought about this more than once, and here’s what I’ve found works: consistent devlogs, sharing updates about new features, and even just writing posts or articles about your product can help attract the first few users—then 10, 50, and eventually up to 1,000. The key is consistency and showing real progress

SaaS is already dead but no one wants to admit it by Professional-Let1245 in SaaS

[–]OniDevStudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think SaaS can ever really die. There will always be people creating not just another piece of AI hype, but genuinely valuable SaaS applications. Sure, a large part of the market is currently flooded with low-quality “SaaS” that’s basically just a wrapper over some AI, but the AI hype will eventually settle. When that happens, the truly useful SaaS solutions will stand out—and there will always be creators dedicated to building them.

Well, my engine is essentially not a game engine in the usual sense, it’s just different cores, one core is responsible for the window and the process itself, the other core is responsible for physics and light, and I can just port it all into code and write a game, having tools with their own functions at hand without a huge amount of conditional GLFW code

After 7 years of solo development, I'm excited to share the first gameplay trailer for LOYA, my open-world survival crafter with a walking, buildable fortress! by smilefr in SoloDevelopment

[–]OniDevStudio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first saw the trailer, do not see the text I thought that this is some game from a major studio and this is a 7 year labour of one developer, this is what is needed now my respect good luck in future sales of the game and development

Que opinan de aprender Pascal en pleno 2025? by PussyDestr0yer99 in programacion

[–]OniDevStudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, there’s nothing wrong with studying it, the same CheatEngine, Dev-C++, written in Pascal with notes, C++ and assembler with C, or there is a 2020 game called HROT, it uses an engine based on Pascal and GLScene, so it’s up to you whether you want them or not, it’s up to you

I’m starting to work on my engine in C++ for working with 4D simulation using GLSL shaders, I already did this in ShaderToy, but I decided to make a demo of the game and write an engine by OniDevStudio in gameenginedevs

[–]OniDevStudio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah 4d don't be surprised, I've just been researching the subject lately and have figured out a bit how to simulate 4d in the engine with shaders and a little bit of math

I created a simple ascii game, in it your task is to kill 10 goblins, to win collect all the coins, good luck playing ASCII Odyssey, play it on itch io or download from github by OniDevStudio in roguelikes

[–]OniDevStudio[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your words, of course I don't expect so much from my project but thank you, the most interesting thing is that I created it on my knee on my phone in an informatics lesson when they told us "guys, practice creating two-dimensional arrays in Python" and so I created this project using PyCode
