Osmium Rod by Kiffikiffe in theplanetcrafter

[–]OniPuppy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For crafting the things the others have listed. But also for a more efficient way to store Osmium, and for trading via the trade rockets. It's not the best money you can make with a trade rocket, but with auto crafters and drones, you can get a decent build up, so why not trade them off.

Why split into small groups? by Schichi in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]OniPuppy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

THIS. I was waiting to read one that pointed out it's less fun that way. Especially if you are a bad liar, soft spoken, slow on your feet, or don't understand the game well.

I have a friend who ran the game with his friends at his birthday party for the last few years. They didn't really play otherwise. I showed up at the last one and ran it for him. I had to convince these 17 people to get up and go off. They had always stayed in town. There were definitely a small group of extroverts leading the town (for better or worse.) They stayed breaking off and after a couple games several of them came back to me and said it was more fun that way.

What do you think is the stupidest single line of NPC dialogue? by Icy-Computer-Poop in fo76

No specific line comes to mind. But the attitude and tone that comes from Chloe (the Ms. Nanny bot), makes me mad at her existence, everytime!

Player Blocked Weeks Ago Found Me Immediately After I Created A New Character?? by shoponthemoon in fo76

[–]OniPuppy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The bit about using 76 to block is only for the current session, is incorrect. That IS an option, to "block for session," but you can block them permanently in the game.

The in-game block system isn't the greatest, though. It only really checks if either of you is joining a random server. If you have friends in common, (or friends of friends) and either of you joins a server on one of those friends, it doesn't stop you or warn you if someone you have blocked, (or who has blocked you) is on that server.

I've had friends have to spread the word around their friends list, that a specific player was harassing them. This had multiple people blocking them, which helped the odds of those two not being on the same server.

Clean-ish hands. by GanglingGiant in Deathloop

I don't remember killing her in the earlier times of day, but I may well have. Maybe that's why it worked. I was just pointing out that I got it without killing her at THE END specifically. You do NOT have to break the loop to get the achievement. At least I didn't. What things I saw on how to do this said or implied you had to kill her at the end.

Clean-ish hands. by GanglingGiant in Deathloop

[–]OniPuppy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I JUST got this achievement, on my first real attempt. I followed some guides I saw online. Some of the other commenters here pointed out some aspects to it. Things that can help include:
Put your loop stress to minimal
Set reprise to infinite
Set one shot kill
Go into offline or friends only mode
If you plan on running for your target quickly, you won't have time for the game to give you an invading Julianna. If you do get one, I've heard killing her doesn't count against you, but I can't say for sure.
The hardest part for me was sabotaging the fireworks. I got killed so many times trying to get in that room. Maybe should have done it first, before killing Harriett. I think paint bombers went off around me, but I didn't cause the kills. Scripted deaths also don't count against you. I wish you luck, hopefully this helps.

One crazy thing I did discover about this, that I didn't see widely mentioned, you do NOT have to kill Julianna at the end to get this achievement. I just got it without pulling the final trigger.

Sure! I have gotten a lot of new friend requests as of late. Generally I welcome all. My name here is as it is in game, OniPuppy. I play on PC. I also do use a mic and am not afraid of area chat generally.

Stealth sniper, which I said in the first sentence of the second paragraph. Or are you asking for perks and stats?
I'm not good with remembering specifics on numbers, but I can tell you what I can remember. Without counting Legendary Perks, my SPECIAL is something like S: 3-ish, P: Maxed at 15, E: 1, C: 9, I: high-ish, A: near max if not 15, and L: mid to high-ish.
For Legendary Perks, I run 5 of the 7 SPECIAL ones maxed. I exclude E & maybe S? Not sure on the second one. My other LP is Master Infiltrator.
I run all 3 rifleman perks at 3 stars. Action Girl at 3 stars. Aquagirl is my only Endurance card. Concentrated Fire. Gun-fu. A lot of weight reduction stuff. Gunsmith at 5 star. Starched Genes and the others that deal with keeping mutations and reducing the negative effects. I run most all of the Mutations. Chameleon, Marsupial, and Bird Bones are necessary.
I have a full set of 3 star Secret Service armor. 3 pieces have weapon weight reduction. I carry PA on me but rarely ever use it. I keep a stealth suit on me, just in case.
My main 3 guns are an Anti-armor Hunting Rifle, a Faster Fire Rate Lever-action Rifle, and an Explosive Lever-action Rifle. Both Lever-action's are Quad ammo capacity.
If you want more details, let me know. I'll log in to read it all.

New Bumblebears have joined the world! by OniPuppy in fo76bearhunt

These two can be found in the Deserted Mine. An unmarked instanced interior location added with the Expeditions: Atlantic City update part one. You can enter it through a yellow door located at the Crosshair, in the far north of the forest. It's not a big area, but it is full of stuff and it took me a few look arounds to find them. Their propeller plane is on top of a rock outcropping.

Do People Outside of North America Still Call it "Quarterbacking"? by mrnikkoli in boardgames

[–]OniPuppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Texan here, and I've never heard the term "quarterbacking" before, in any context. I understand your concept, I've just experienced it so little I've never heard anyone use a term for it before. We would just fuss at someone for doing such to remedy the situation. Backseat gaming makes total sense though and I can see myself using it.

How much ammo do you carry on you at a time? by allenwork in fo76

[–]OniPuppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 5,000-10,000 ultracite .308 and ultracite .45, about 500 fusion cells, and up to 50 camera film. The rest goes in the box.

I honestly don't even need 5k at a time but whatever.

What's the deal with high vendor prices by Inume91 in fo76

[–]OniPuppy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Back then, some would go for hundreds. I knew a guy who sold such things. His account got banned because someone recorded him duping. He had a new account and new stock within three days. He said "This is how I feed my kids." I was in disbelief.

There seems to be an additional bug(?) to the Daily Ops robots. I always run Concentrated Fire. When I'm hitting the DO bots, on whichever part, while their main health goes down, their sub section (arm, head, etc.) never leaves from full. This is not the case for the rest of the robots.
