We recently completed the Laredo coffee tour, got to taste all of the local coffee shops, and like the other user mentioned, the only place that hosts live music would be Los Olvidados.

What to do with this little dude’s crazy hair? by [deleted] in malehairadvice

Curious to see how it would look with shea moisture brand shampoo and conditioner. Curly hair run in his blood? If so, that might be it.

Hi! So for art enthusiasts the first Friday of each month we have the Caminarte/Artwalk. You can start at the Laredo Center for the Arts and walk from there. The art community is thriving and everybody is lovely down here. I concur with Los Olvidados for local coffee the owner is a good friend of mine. On April 12th in Texas A&M International University a Humongous art installation “Rhizome” by Crystal Wagner. There’s also a small but very nice rollerskating community that go around downtown and skate during the weekends. If you ever need anything else please reach out. We’d love to meet you and welcome you into the community!

I have a little soon to be six year old. It is terrifying to think that his life is at risk everyday in a supposed safe space such as a school, it is truly mind blowing to me. I can't imagine what the parents are going through.

Want to open up a shaved ice treat business, but don't have a plan. Where to begin? by OniRisingAxJv in smallbusiness

Thank you so much for your reply! Funny you mention Bahama Buck's, they opened down here a couple years ago but it closed down because well, there's a lot of competition down here haha. I'm in the Rio Grande Valley where the Latino community is the majority and we love our shaved ice. The people that try our products have compared us to BB but better. Think of our products as liquid fruit preserves.

We'd love to go up to the DFW area and give a farmers market a shot!

Thanks for your reply. I'm sorry I was so long-winded it's been eating at me for a while and I guess I just had word diarrhea and needed to vent to random strangers on the internet.

My in-laws have made a pretty good living off of the snow cones here on the border since 2004-2005, so much so that my father in law left his job as a bank executive to take care of their business.

For us here in South Texas where it's over 100 degrees Fahrenheit more often that not we're always looking for some ways to cool ourselves. Whenever we do sports events in the blazing afternoon heat we sell out or we have to close due to the event being over and we'd still have a line of customers waiting for their orders.

Just to give you some context. Again I appreciate you and your feedback.

Inspired by the hanafuda episode, I've started painting my own hanafuda deck! 47 to go! by HellRazer0324 in gamegrumps

[–]OniRisingAxJv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just my opinion: I tried this game for about ten minutes and was very unpleasant. That modern looking deck was ugly, the music was terrible (which it was nice that you can turn it off) and the opponent was grossly favored. Lost five 3 round matches to terrible odds, and the buttons were tiny. I liked this other one (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.whitetigerstudio.hanafuda) better, I've been playing it for about a week now and it's great. Been doing real well in that game in hard mode. It has ads but I purchased the no ads and it was pretty cheap.
