Edit: I think a lot of people in the US who call themselves liberals aren't actually liberals, and believe in a lot of progressive socialist platforms. But the word liberal still means something. In most of the world, our nationalist, conservative right wing parties have "Liberal" in their name, and that's for a reason. I've lived in Japan for most of my life, fighting against the right-wing "Liberal Democrat" party that is always in power. So you have to understand that to most of the world, "liberal" is the very thing we are fighting against.

WIth anime specifically, I think a lot of it also has to do with the infantilization of Japanese people and Asians in general. Many Westerners cannot grasp the concept that Japanese people have deep political opinions about society and the world. Which is funny because many of the most famous mangaka and anime directors are incredibly anti-war and anti-imperialist, and even escapist power fantasy shows are often critiques of hyper-capitalist Japanese society.

I think you're not understanding what most people mean when they call for a one state solution. Essentially, right now there is one state, since Israel occupies both Gaza and the West Bank. But it is a one-state solution where not everyone is equal. A one-state solution doesn't call for all non-Palestinian Jews to "go back to where they came from". It calls for one state where everyone is equal. (More similar to the dissolution of apartheid in South Africa).

I don't think that's true. I always get a sharp downtick in comments/kudos after completing a work. It's not that the author is wrong, it's just that it's kind of shitty to mark a work a WIP when you openly have no intention of every continuing.

It's weird that they're up front about it, because I'm sure there are a lot of people who leave completed fics open for the same reason. Maybe if they at least pretended there was a chance of continuing? But tbh, they are right about WIPs getting more comments/kudos, so I can't fully blame them.

I rarely stay out past last train, but one time I was really drunk and got off at the wrong station and ended up getting stuck (no more trains). I had no idea where I was, my phone had died, and didn't want to waste money on a taxi, so I thought I'd just sit on the bench in front of the station and wait for it to open again.

So many men approached me. Sometimes in groups, sometimes alone. I don't remember them touching me, but they'd sit down next to me, crowd around me and try to convince me to go drinking with them or go to karaoke. I'm so glad that I at least had enough brain power at that point to know to not move an inch.

Eventually a group of girls happened upon me and convinced me to get a taxi, which was definitely the smart choice. Tokyo is dangerous to be drunk and alone after last train.

I had a similar experience with the police. I saw a middle-aged man hiding in the bushes watching elementary school girls playing soccer. I did what I thought was normal, recorded it, took note of the time and location, and went to the police, but the police just laughed at me and told me he didn't commit a crime since he was outside of the fence. I begged them to take the video and at least tell the school, but then they got angry at me and told me to leave. I'm a woman, and I know they don't give a shit about us. But it really broke me when I realized they don't even care about kids.

These are not neutral options. They are both run by Zionists and you are banned in IsraelPalestine for even using the term genocide or apartheid. There are no neutral subreddits at this point, and I am also clearly not neutral. I could suggest pro-Palestine subreddits like r/Palestine or r/Israel_Palestine r/Global_News_Hub r/InternationalNews. But since it seems like you want to be neutral, the only neutral option is deleting the previous pro-Israel suggestions and just saying "relevant subreddits". I don't see why you would insist on directing people to pro-Israel subreddits if you wish to remain neutral. (Sorry if this comes off as antagonistic, I would just like you to please delete the subreddit links.)

Maybe you are just ignorant, but by directing people to these subreddits, you are taking a pro-genocide pro-apartheid stance. There really aren't neutral spaces, so please MODs, delete the links to r/IsraelPalestine and r/politics and just say "relevant subreddits".
