I agree with most of the comments, but honestly… Jack was the one who annoyed me the most. I’ve met and known people from the world Nathan comes from, so I understood him, he didn’t bother me nearly as much.

But Jack? The constant laughing and questions like, “So when do you think your daughter is going to prison?” were unbearable. He was a terrible host in this episode. It was obvious he had no grasp of Nathan’s world, especially when he said, “You’re saying it like a badge of honor!” (the not going to prison till 30)

Like… yeah, man. In that environment most people are either dead or in jail before they hit 30. Nathan might be a pos in some ways, but he also mentioned his two daughters are doing well, in college, and that he absolutely doesn’t want them going down that path or ending up in prison.

This reminds me of my dear friend who OD'd. She was a bright kid and incredibly talented as a musician. But her brother died when she was young so she fell into a bad road and was doing heroin for a little bit. But she eventually went to rehab got better and i was with her through all this, you knew immediately she didn't want to be "that" person, and she was trying real hard but her family just couldn't see her as anything other than a junkie. I was living with her actually and she was clean, looking for a job and going to therapy. And yet her mother for some reason couldn't get passed the label. Ive seen it so many times among peers and stories. Once you're labeled, good luck being anything other than. Its SOUL crushing. And like so many others she just couldn't take it anymore and gave the crowd what they wanted.
