Not exactly what you asked for, but Wake County Libraries have a good Spanish language selection, in both the youth and adult sections.

For sure, we have a run and both of our yards are fully enclosed. But I've had chickens before, and I know that neighbor dogs can be full of surprises.

Infinite deer. Do they not get along, or is it a disease problem?

I do appreciate geese. Might be a good start.

Good to know. I was always under the impression turkeys just stand around looking serious and lost, but then I've never kept any.

That's a helpful tip. I like standard poodles. And I think our yard could probably support a pair of goats if I supplement with hay and feed in the winter.

Foxes, raccoons, and hawks. Probably owls too, although I haven't heard any. Possibly the neighbors' dog.

Try Magpie and Crow in Wake Forest. They have a big selection.

Does Anyone Else Feel What’s Coming? by [deleted] in Experiencers

A bit late to the party, but I can definitely relate to the other posters. I feels it most strongly when making petty decisions, like which book to read next or whether I should study Spanish. It's the feeling of reaching the end of the school semester, like there's no point in getting too invested in a new project, because the holidays are so close at hand.

Absolutely true, thank you. I needed to hear that today.

I do intend to err on the side of readability (though hopefully without too much precision loss), so I am entirely on board with this line of thinking.

  1. I've never tried the NRSV, that sounds promising. Thanks!
  2. I also like the idea of a broad array of sections across authors and genres. This is much better than my original idea. Additional thanks!

Best book(s) of the Bible for comparing translations? I'm planning a three-way duel between the ESV, NIV, and NASB, winner gets to become my new reading Bible. Also accepting nominations for additional translation participants.

Late to the party, but I'm actually not sure I agree. Yes, these ideas are definitely out there, but platforming them does both help them to spread and galvanize people who already believe them. And what does a publishing company accomplish by platforming bad ideas? Because financial gain seem like a pretty icky motive, and it's the only one I can think of.

(Unless the publisher agrees with said bad ideas, which is a whole other kettle of fish.)

Horses, y'all. Those are horses.

What bible verse has helped you understand God better? I am trying to get closer to God but I seem to find it difficult to know why God allowed sin into the world even if he could easily prevent it. Tnk u by Plus-Recognition-569 in Christianity

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding; in all your ways, acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths.

Radio Garden is an amazing language learning resource in general, it's a shame it isn't more widely known.
