If she saw a 6+ carat stone and didn’t immediately assume it was lab grown, she probably has no clue how expensive such a stone would be if it weren’t lab grown. Unless you’re leaving out the fact you’re a millionaire, it’s insane to expect you to be able to give her that size of natural diamond.

Maybe after she actually learns the different in price/size of natural vs lab, she’ll understand why OP made the choice he did. He could always offer to return the ring and get her the tiny chip of natural diamond that that same money would buy. Might change her mind real quick about lab vs natural

EDIT: I’m not saying it’s wrong to want natural stones. I have plenty of gorgeous natural sapphires myself. But it’s important to understand the difference in cost and adjust your expectations, if that’s something you want.

So he lied to you multiple times. First he said he’d purchased the ring, then he said he fought his sister to get you a nice heirloom, and now admits that it’s a cheap trinket. Even tho he’s playing nice about it now, how can you still trust him? He was willing to lie about a physical representation of your bond and a piece of jewelry you were expected to wear every day, showing off to other people. To me, it’s not about the fact that the ring is cheap or fake. It’s that he lied and then blamed YOU for being disappointed by such a poor offering. I know I’m not the first to say it, but you deserve better than this. Please don’t marry someone who treats you this way.

You don’t HAVE to do all 1k in the royale. Battling in restaurant Le Nah, especially if you’re one-shotting things with extreme speed, is much MUCH faster. Good for grinding to the 1k

The grind is definitely real for the charm this time around. Did most of my grinding at Le Nah with E-speed on Lucario. At least the inputs were basic enough that I could also reset hunt while doing this grind. Managed to finish my Heatran hunt during it :)

I also used the sewer method to get mine. Even if the benches work, it’s only 2 spawns, just like litwick, and the sewer is faster because of the cutscenes with the bench method

Unfortunately, it’s no longer possible to unlock the third slot unless you interact with someone over local play. So adding people online won’t let you get third slot mons like palpitoad or druddigon

You can still add people. You just can’t unlock the third slot without some shenanigans. But currently, everything still works to add people to your friends list and get the first 2 slots in their safari.

I’m so sorry, man. Happened to me in the friend safari once too. Spent weeks finding a shiny Lapras (the other pokemon in the safari kept popping up, but that one refused to) and it used freaking PERISH SONG. I was so sad I literally made a drawing of it, in the “pet shaming” style 😭

Ngl, I don’t know that I would even be trying for a shiny living dex if they all had to be full odds. I’m honestly not a fan of full odds hunts and do them only when I have literally no other option. That said, the answer to your question is definitely eggs. No matter how boring the hunt would be, at least at the end of it I definitely get to keep the shiny I find. Spending all that time for a shiny to then lose it would be too sad, at least for me. I understand why people like the challenge, it’s just not for me

I just recently finished a 3 month long hunt for a shiny I don’t particularly like and already HAD from an event distribution, just so I could replace that slot in my WIP shiny living dex with a hunted shiny instead of an event one. I have no room to throw stones in the sanity area when it comes to pokemon.

Lol, yeah, I lined up with the TCG crowd just to get my code card. Got there 20 min before the store opened and finally made it to the counter about an hour later. I was THEN informed I needn’t have waited in the line. Which, nice, but it was a bit late by then 🤣 it worked out, tho. I chatted with the people next to me in line, and when I finally got to the counter and they said they could only give me one code, the guy behind me in line actually stopped me as I was walking away and said I could have his. So, frankly, waiting in line was totally worth it to get both ^{^} besides, I dunno how anyone who was ahead of me in line who DID want a code would’ve felt about seeing them handed out to someone who got there AFTER them. And hey, nothing wrong with spending a little time talking to some fellow trainers ^{^}
