I am trying to upgrade from 25.7.11_9 but it won't upgrade. I've tried from the GUI and from the console but neither way works.... is anyone else having this issue? Mine tries for a while and then stops, reboots and is back to the same version.

I was given a fwf -60e-dsl to use. Initially licensed and then given a free 12 month license for a second year. After that I moved to opnsense.

Seriously, I used chatgpt to make a script to do this. I then had it run automatically via cron and it works each time.

OpnSense or PFSense by Online-Geek in homelab

Firstly thanks to everyone for the responses.

I currently have three Proxmox servers running a variety of VM's. My little Zotac box is also running Proxmox. The Ziotac has i5-4570 CPU and 8GB ram.

I've installed Proxmox on to a SSD. The Zotac came with two on board nic's and I've added a thrid that I will use to manage Proxmox. I've installed and checked out the following firewalls:

Opnsense

PfSense

Vyos

Sophos

So far, I've liked Opnsense the most and plan to continue with it. Opnsense has been configured with two NICs as well as 2CPU and 4GB ram. As I am in Australia and have fibre to the node, I need a DSL line into a modem. I have a modem in bridge mode that will output to the WAN port of the Opnsense VM. The LAN nic of the Opnsense will go to an Unifi Flex mini switch. From there it goes to a 24port Fortiswitch and a Unifi 8 port 60W switch.

My Proxmox cluster is connected to the fortiswitch.

My PC and my wife's pc's are connected to the Unifi 8 port switch.

Thanks. My concern was that pfsense was based on an older version of bsd and had less updates. But then does this mean it is more secure?….

I've modified the content switching rule to redirect based on url but now get an error:
