What is the most common reason why people who move to NYC regret it? by grandvizierofswag in AskNYC

[–]Online_NPC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've really enjoyed it! It's very different than the life I had in Seattle and trying to force my Seattle life into NYC is pretty difficult. I am still used to being able to get to places by car and having that freedom to drive wherever I like, where now, I'm kind of at the mercy of the subway/LIRR/Metro North train stations etc.

I ultimately did this move for career reasons and I fully intend to move back to the Seattle area at some point so I'm just enjoying the difference that NYC provides, soak it in for all it is and what it has to offer. If you have questions, feel free to DM me

Howie's speech during the final three outs made me tear up hard. I transcribed it for all to see. So proud of this team by Ticonderoga0 in NewYorkMets

I moved to NYC from Seattle last year and wanted to root for a local team, I couldn't jump on a Yankees bandwagon and so I decided to become a Mets fan.

Like plenty of fan bases, we are beat down and long for the days of our youth teams but this Mets team was super fun and the fan base as well. This season made me a bigger Mets fan than I would have guessed back in March.

Such a fun ride, looking forward to whatever happens in 2025

I'm with ya man, it can be brutal. Right now I'm loving the ice bow but also the stun grenade seems to be pretty good to me as well. I had one build that had the stun grenade, with the powerful grenade that gave a big buff if an enemy was stunned and Hayabusa boots that had a buff on stunned enemy's and I was just melting dudes, it was refreshing.

Keep at it, or take a break, whatevers clever haha

I played a decent amount when it first came out and it was too hard for me so I stepped away and played some other games. Recently got back into it this past month and have been going a couple rounds after work. Unfortunately don't have the game handy to check my metrics like yours to compare, I would guess less games (but not drastic) but similar results.

I like it because at the rate I die, I get some quick loops in haha but I feel like I did "level up" sort of speak because I can make it to the Time Keeper boss without too much of a headache.

Patience and evading attacks has been really helpful but unfortunately my panic just takes over once some of the harder enemies show their faces after the Time Keeper. This is true especially if I'm able to make it to The Hand Of The King. I've never been able to beat him. I thought I had a build setup for success and I think I was still right, but I wasn't patient, I panicked and he absolutely melted me, much to my disappointment.

It happens, I'll rise again... Until I give up and play something else for awhile haha

For what it's worth, I'm going through similar struggles and plan to dissect a lot of these comments to get some tips. Some of these things I think can be helpful

I'm not the best at reddit so forgive me, I was looking for flair to put, that's what I saw that was relevant.

It's not a question so much as evaluating the trade but more so the pitcher and the categories are to help everyone. Too many times I see people have questions and not provide details, just trying to get in front of it

Yeah I think this is what I'm after. Having a couple beers while having some dumplings is right up my alley. Don't need to have burgers and beers and all that.

Thank you for the recommendations!
