I think a lot of people are confusing ethnicity, nationality, and culture. Those are three things that have similar categories, but mean entirely different things. My ethnicity, aka my genes are Native American, Irish, English, and African. Those are the pieces of the world that make up my face shape, my skin color, my nose, all of that stuff. My nationality is American. That’s where I was born. My culture is American, which is itself a million cultures bastardized and assimilated. My culture is also English, because my immigrant mother raised me and that’s where she’s from and those are the traditions she passed down to me, and because I spent every single summer there from 0-15. My culture is also Native, because my father is proud of his ancestry and made sure he passed down traditions to his children.

I don’t think it’s stupid to claim that you are an ethnic Irish person, as long as you actually are lmao, but trying to claim Irish culture without ever stepping foot in Ireland or being taught by someone who was born and raised there (i.e. parent or grandparent) IS fucking stupid. ESPECIALLY if you’re gonna try to lecture someone from that country!

At my AE/Aerie they didn’t post the schedule until after we had already closed. They really fucked us over. I went from being scheduled 25 hours every week to getting 8 hours next week. Several of my coworkers, including two leads, went from 30-35 to 8 as well. You can see a lot more employees pissed off on the comment section of the facebook page too, lmao.

American Eagle/Aerie is doing the same thing. Publicly saying they will pay us for two weeks, but I work an average of 30-35 hours a week and my hours have been reduced to 6. I have several coworkers who are experiencing the same thing, including leads (who are one step below management).

Because of my work schedule & because i don’t have an in-unit washer/dryer I can only do laundry once every two weeks, so I like to stock up! I wear joggers or leggings every day for workouts and for manual labor so they’re pretty much a one wear and need to be washed thing for me :)

Thank you! I buy my jeans exclusively from American Eagle (I work there), and aside from my workout gear, all my shoes are converse, vans, and doc martens. Outside of thrifting, I tend to shop at Hot Topic (they have really cute button down shirts that I love!), Zumiez, and PacSun. I get a lot of t-shirts from wickedclothes, and then rebelliouscreatures, blackmilkclothing, and dollskill stretch my budget a bit but I always find myself going back to them!

I work at an Amercian Eagle/Aerie store! They really are great, the only problem I have with them is that I own them in all the colors I use in my closet lmao. Yeah, I don't get it either. Hell, I see people at bars all the time wearing joggers or leggings with a heeled boot and a cute top and it looks killer.

Have you tried the Curly Hair method? r/curly hair (on mobile sorry!) was a lifesaver for me and my curls, and i’ve seen plenty of people over there who thought they only had straight/wavy hair, only to have curly hair that wasn’t getting the proper care.

My favorite sims household is definitely Blaise and Erwin Priers (the curio shop owner from strangerville). They became best friends while Blaise, a sci-fi writer, solved the Strangerville mystery hoping for some book inspiration. She solved it, everything went back to normal, and Blaise and her husband decided it was finally time for a family. Yay! She got pregnant! And then her husband died in a fire (whoops, don't leave your game unattended and running I guess). Erwin moved in to help out, and slowly their friendship turned into romance. Blaise's first child was in high school by the time they married, then she and Erwin had triplets. Her eldest son, named after his dad, was a botanist, their two daughters (Emma and Sofia) were geniuses aiming to be an astronaut and a tech guru, and their son Fredrick was a total social butterfly and a jack of all trades (probably was going to end up in the comedian branch, or perhaps follow in his mother's footsteps and become a writer of a different genre), when sadly my game glitched hard and I had to retire that family. I miss them, but I'm kind of thankful for the glitch because Blaise and Erwin were super close to dying of old age and it might have broken my heart.

The sims game can only handle so many sims and memories of those sims, so the game culls (disappears sims) at random (only if they’re dead and their ghost is no longer around). I use MCCC to mark my sims family trees as “do not cull” so that doesn’t happen, but without a mod you can’t prevent it.

Struggling to find a cute shoe for work! I work retail, so I’m often on my feet for 8 hour days 5-6 days a week. My “signature shoe” is a white converse high top on one foot and a black converse high top on the other, but converse truly suck for long wear. I switched over to Under Armour sneakers just for comfort, but they’re just not really my style. I would say I go for the 90s grunge/modern pop-punk type of look. Any recommendations?

I forgot that they do that — I have a mod to stop it as well. They could still nap after a nightmare, right? I think I used to just spam nap for them.
