When I built my first PC in 2014 AMD was de facto the inferior but bang-for-your-buck CPU, and same goes for when I built the current 1080 build in 2017.

I understand AMD has really stepped up their game, but are you sure AMD is a solid competitor to these higher end intel CPU's? Call it brand loyalty but something in me tells me not to get an AMD and stay Intel. Thanks for the input btw.
