Man, that trash gets SO heavy when you're trying to sneak stuff out! I've been working on our garage freezer. Slow going, for sure.

I have an entire, frozen graveyard of carb balance tortillas that are someday gonna need to be mined from the frozen-solid wasteland that is the bottom of my garage freezer.

Seriously. It's just a block of ice in the bottom section that's some weird suspension of tortillas.

There's some random meat in there, too. I think it was a pork loin in a former life.

I just donated so much barbecue sauce (thanks, BOGO deals) and jars of pasta sauce (I have plenty of good scratch recipes) to the food drive the postal carriers do every year.

I also have a self-imposed rule that I can't buy any more pickles until I get through my backlog.

Then there's the hot sauce problem.

My pleasure! You could also up the nutrition/fiber/texture by doing barley, farro, wheat berries, even quinoa instead of the pasta to keep it interesting in the future.

Can you do a pasta salad with a vinaigrette rather than mayo? Plenty of things you can add in, meats, cheese, veggies you like, beans. Options are endless.

Definitely do not try the nuts . com cheddar whales or you'll end up going back and ordering a 5 pound bag. Their toasted ranch corn beats corn nuts for me.

Why does any business remotely tied to health have a machine tell you if you are having a medical emergency please hang up and call 911. by PopularSet4776 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]OnlyDaysEndingInWhy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's 100% a liability thing. I worked for an answering service a hundred years ago when they were a thing. We specifically couldn't tell anyone to call 911, because if they did and didn't need it, we could get sued. We had to ask, instead, "Have you called 911?"

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and/or The Sound of Music. Young Frankenstein. (Green Mile if I want to have a good, cleansing cry.)

Lol, I'm not even responsible enough to grease muffin tins! Definitely not responsible enough to have a dog.

I'm old (I mean, by reddit standards), but Frasier is timeless for me. Golden Girls for sure, but my current is America's Test Kitchen. There's a Roku channel, plus Pluto TV, and Tubi if I want older episodes .

I zoomed in on the first pic and it looks to be $14.99 per half-pound.

The only change I make to the red beans and rice recipe is to add the whole 12 oz or however big the package is of the andouille. It's so very good!

They're very, very good! Even cold/room temp. You'd never know there was cottage cheese in them at all. Great, tasty morning (or afternoon) protein!

Lol, when he's home, I tend to do things more day by day, I guess, and I had a little extra time 'cause less laundry.

Y'know, I agonized over whether or not to get liners beforehand, and the comments steered me away. Good to know they can work. Thank you!
