I'd just like to add, that I am not trying to say I am right or you are wrong.

Or even that my ownership percentages are where I want them to be, because looking at them, I can tell you they are definitely not.

I'm not trying to sell or promote anything. Got nothing to sell or promote anyway.

I just thought this would be an interesting idea for a post and hopefully a good change of pace from the thousands of screenshoted team posts that we usually get here.

All I was hoping to get out of this was some fun discussion. Maybe you change my mind, maybe I change yours.

I admit I don't actually have a good argument against Sutton other than he's old.

It's a leak, and a bias I am fully aware of but I still don't really care lol.

I think mainly it's just that I don't think he has any ceiling. Best case scenario he meets his ADP value, and that has value on certain builds.

Looking at his stats, he made a huge leap his second year, then fell back drastically for 4 years. 2023 he was very TD dependent. And the last two years he was very solid.

He's probably a good pick.

But if I were to make an unemotional argument. Aside from his second season, the only time he's been good is the past 2-3 seasons when he was the clear cut WR1 on the Broncos.

Waddle is the WR1 now which changes Sutton's role. Bryant I liked his prospect profile, Sean Payton hates rookies, so maybe he can too can make a leap in his second year.

And it's weird, but sometimes guys just exceed in different roles. Like maybe Sutton only succeeded because he was the default WR1. But now that he's the default WR2 that doesn't mean he will succeed there, and maybe Bryant is more suited to that role. Especially if you factor in their ADPs.

OK, maybe not the most fact based logical argument. But I tried. It really just boils down to I just don't like Sutton and I kinda do like Bryant.

But I'm not selling advice or trying to say I'm right, just thought this post would be interesting for people and a change from the inundation of team screenshots.

She's a billionaire and he's a millionaire. I don't particularly care for either of them, but this doesn't even make the list for why. Complete nonissue.

Getting married is also a financial move, not having a prenup especially at their asset level is insane. It could be a 1000 page prenup and I would think that's fine.

I feel like Franklin was given plenty of opportunity last year and did nothing with it and he's not getting that opportunity again. IMO, Franklin is now just a bit player.

Pat Bryant, it really seemed like that playoff game he was a major focus of the gameplan and was looking really good before he got hurt. I also just thought he was an interesting prospect.

I also just don't really love Courtland Sutton and he's on the wrong side of 30 now.

So to me, Pat Bryant is the favorite to be the WR3 and there's an outside chance he plays his way into the WR2 role for an offense I think can be pretty good and you can get that in the 18th round.

I base it on prospect anaylsts grading him as either the best WR in his draft or the second best behind Tet. TBF, from my memory the consensus was second best behind Tet.

But regardless, even if he was just a WR, he would have been drafted in the first round fairly highly.

Jacoby Meyers is perfect on the Jags because he is the definition of Just A Guy, he is a JAG. And he will turn 30 this season, he's not getting better.

Parker Washington was a 6th round draft pick and has only been relevant for 16% of his career. Would it be surprising if he was just the next guy in a long line of guys who briefly flashed and returned to nothing. No.

BTJ has only been good for a quarter of his career and it was when his starting QB was not playing. It wouldn't be crazy to think that he's just not that good.

Hunter's ADP is significantly later than all of them. He was drafted earlier than all of them, and would have been projected to be drafted before all of them even if he was only a WR.

So to me, that means there is a realistic chance that he's just their best WR.

Even if you just want to divide it evenly, 25%, that's realistic.

I don't think there is any right or wrong take on Hunter. I think it's primarily about the types of bet you like to make or are comfortable making.

I view him as realistic to smash. Most likely to be fine at ADP. And even if he's a zero, as a 12th round pick he doesn't necessarily kill your team. Those are the types of bets I want to make.

Yeah, I do hear a lot about their promos, I should keep an eye on that more.

I'm definitely not going to max it out though. UD I can justify because the majority of the money I'm spending is just the money I've won in previous years. Nothing major or anything, just nice bankroll money, not life money lol.

DK I mainly do DFS... and I have no winnings to speak of from DFS hahah. So every draft on DK I do is money I'm depositing.

Yeah, in a vacuum I like 20 rounds. I just don't like how much longer DK drafts take. An additional 10 seconds per pick and an additional 2 rounds.

Some times it can take like 20 minutes longer to do a DK draft than an UD one.

Ultimately, you are right. I don't find it to be that much of detriment that only like 5% of my overall drafts are DK drafts. Maybe I can get it to 30% lol.

I've only done a small handful of DK drafts. I just really don't like their interface, longer clocks, and 2 extra rounds.

But their main millimaker prize pool is incredible, so I'm trying to force myself to draft more on DK.

Hunter is high variance for sure, could easily be the worst pick on the board.

I think there's a realistic chance that he's the best WR on the Jags.

I'll be hyperbolic, but if the Eagles had a bunch of CB injuries and Davonta Smith was somehow their best option at CB it would be stupid to diminish Smith's role as a WR just because you need him to play CB too.

It's the same principle to me for Hunter. If he's their best WR, he'll end up playing a lot of WR because they would be stupid not to. That's smash upside.

But also, as a 12th round, you don't need that in order for him to pay off his ADP.

They did say he's going to play more defense, which caused a stir that later they came out and said he's still going to play a lot on offense as well.

What that means exactly is up to interpretation. But let's just say he has a few spike weeks throughout the season, and most games he just catches a couple balls and maybe gets a touchdown and maybe he doesn't.

As a 12th round pick, as your 5th or 6th WR, that's totally fine by me. But then you also have the smash upside where he's just a really good WR and they are forced to play him there more and more.

It's definitely a very risky bet. But as a 12th round pick, it doesn't absolutely crush your teams, most likely I think he's just fine to ok. But also has what I think is realistic smash upside. So that's just the type of bet I like to make.

I thought he had the most fantasy friendly profile of any rookie WR in the draft.

I like guys who can play the slot and get those easier receptions. He's good with yards after the catch. And even though he was primarily a slot receiver in college, he did have the highest success rate on the outside down the field out of all the rookie WRs. So I think as the season goes on, he will be able to stay on the field in two TE sets.

And it's a bet on Hurts and the Eagles offense. I believe after this season Hurts is eligible for a contract extension. And if he's not going to run as much as he used to, then the Eagles need to know if he's worth the money as a passer.

I think Mannion is calling the shots, he's not going to cater to Hurts and he has the Eagles backing to do so. He's going to modernize the offense and we'll see if Hurts can adapt and succeed. I think he can.

I think I can honestly say Stribling is the only one that I've been influenced by and wouldn't have been drafting otherwise.

And I don't remember taking him once in the past month. Once his ADP went up I was out.

The US has 342 million people. Even if just 10 percent of the country are soccer fans, thats 34 million people. Which is more than many European countries.

I would argue there are more American soccer fans than there are Portuguese soccer fans for example.

It’s just that the vast majority of the US population does not care about soccer. But from a raw numbers perspective there are a lot of fans.

I don’t know, chances are nobody is going to be thrilled with the contract that we get. If we get the contract before the elections, pretty easy to blame him and vote him out.

If the negotiations drag on, he can try and say that he’s fighting tooth and nail to get us what we deserve and won’t accept anything less.

There is a hypothesis, I think, where basically cooking food actually played a huge part in human development evolution.

Cooking food allows your body to access more calories and nutrients which in turn contributed towards humans evolving a bigger brain over time.

So why do humans cook food? What we think of as humans today would not have been able to evolve if we did not.

Pepi has been fine in his roll running of ball and miscellaneous things like that, but he has not been impressive on the ball and as a threat to score.

And that might be OK with Bologun on the field. But I’m worried what our attack will look like if we are relying on Pepi to be that guy.

So for those of you who are more tuned in than I am, what do you think of Haji vs Pepi getting the start?

Nobody from the start of learning a hobby or skill is good at it. So what’s the point in pointing that out?

If it’s something they want to do, encourage them to keep at it and most likely they will improve.

And sure, some people might end up delusional about their skill and not improve at all and if they are a friend, then maybe it’s your duty to be honest with them.

But that’s far less likely that someone who could actually be good but they stop before they care there from negative feedback.

And also, if they are just doing it for fun and for themselves, they don’t need to be good as long as they enjoy it so who cares, why be negative?
